Billy Joe Saunders is paying little attention to Chris Eubank Jr's progress in the World Boxing Super Series and questioned his former opponent's decision to step up to super-middleweight.
"I don't really care if he can win it or not," said Saunders, when asked about Eubank Jr's chances of lifting the Muhammad Ali trophy.
"He's one of them that I personally don't think he's a true super-middleweight. He holds the IBO [title], but that's nothing is it, let's face it.
"I hope George Groves fares well for him, because that could be a great fight."
Saunders called for a clash with Amir Khan earlier this year, but the Bolton fighter has extended his lengthy absence from the ring by entering 'I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!'
Khan's decision was shrugged off by Saunders, although he believes the former world super-lightweight champion should have taken the more lucrative option of a grudge fight against Kell Brook.
"Listen, good luck to him," said Saunders. "His biggest money fight is Kell Brook.
"If I had been him, I wouldn't have worried about going into the celebrity jungle for 100 grand or so, I would fight Kell Brook for four or five million.
"Clearly not, but good luck to him, whatever he decides to do."
