I don’t think it hurts a boxer too much to do this, it’s nit like they don’t have 2-3 weeks spare when no fights are lined up.
2 - 3 weeks to spare?
He's had one fight in 2 and a half years with nothing lined up.
Well yeah that’s kind of my point

Going on the show didn’t do haye any harm in terms of getting his name out there.

The problem with Khan is he’s badly due a fight

The only time i would waste 3 weeks on this crap would be Karl Pilkington being in it.
I'd watch if Khan and Brook were on :bag:
Its called "i'm a celebrity," Brook doesn't qualify...
Have you seen the show? I’d argue most of the people on it aren’t “celebrities”

The 30 year-old admits he's scared of spiders, snakes and heights, all three of which the ITV series has an abundance of.

Khan's journey begins on TV screens this Sunday night when viewers can vote for celebrities to face a number of 'Bush-Tucker Trials' over the coming days.

Profile (Courtesy of ITV):

Occupation: Boxing Champion

Age: 30

Phobias: Spiders, snakes and heights.

Biggest misconception you want to dispel in the Jungle: People only ever see me in the boxing ring. It will be nice to show people what I'm like away from it.

Role in the Camp: The leader. I will spur people on.

What you will miss the most: My family and my daughter.

Dream Campmate: Drake and Floyd Mayweather would be amazing!

Quotes: “Whenever I see a spider at home, I get my sister to move it. I just don’t deal with it,” he admits. “Will I scream? Yes definitely, but maybe this is the time where I face my phobias!”

“I am most looking forward to getting away from the world, spending time with myself and getting to know some new people."

“I’m not going to watch any of the previous series. I’m going to deal with everything when I get there.”

“With the sport I am in, I do need to be confident. Boxing has made me accept all challenges, never give up and never be scared.”

“To win the series would be just brilliant. I will be King Khan!"
Reading that end quote just sums Khan up! Dislikable big time!

If Khan is injured then I see nothing wrong it.... if not, then he should be fighting.

If you read back I’m not really knocking him appearing on the show. It just looks worse as he’s been inactive for so long

Apologies.
You were saying Brook is also a non-celebrity so has a shot of making it into he jungle in the future, I agree.
But once he finds out what Khan made and he can't get half that, I reckon he'll back out of negotiations.
Same old story, Brook thinks he has equal star power to Khan, he doesnt unfortunately...

Brook isn’t as big as Khan in terms of a draw, but khan holds at least half the responsibility of why that fight didn’t happen imo

It’s horses for courses that I won’t argue about, but where you or I draw the line who should get what, and also what has officially been offered to either party that we’re not privy too, means they’re both at fault. If anything Amir moreso

Unless you can tell me that khan offered brook an incredible deal that he couldn’t turn down and did turn it down!?

He could just fight somebody?
David Haye said he genuinely gets recognised more for being the guy from I'm a Celebrity than he does from being a boxer.

I think you'd be surprised how popular these programmes are.

This.
I really fear for Amir.
After 15 years of being punched in the face by Kindelan, Canelo, Maidana, Peterson, Garcia, Prescott, Alexander, Judah and Willie Limond ( ! ) I wonder how he'll cope with all that sunbathing with enhanced hottie tramps in a 5 star villa for money ?
I agree with you - he should retire proud and forget treading the dangerous path that is Reality TV pro.

Khan's packing some timber.

He's way off being in shape for a fight, although he should lose a few pounds on this show because they just don't eat enough.
