Bellew / Haye interim bout
Apparently Bellew said they both need interim bouts.
Bellew has turned down Fury, Whyte and Parker. Who the hell is he going to fight? Is 17th cancelled then?

Re: Bellew / Haye interim bout
I know Bellew said he may take an interim bout, but I didn't notice him say Haye should take one as well.
The card is still showing, there's still some decent names on the card. I think, based on Bellew's training camp. He should still fight on the card. Of course it would have to be taken off PPV. But he should fight a decent name.
He'll probably likely end up fighting Joey Abell or a rematch with BJ Flores

Re: Bellew / Haye interim bout
Hearn is talking about refunds or trade ins for the reschedule. I think that card is dead.
Re: Bellew / Haye interim bout
I know it isn't that simple, but I'd like them to keep the card running and put it on regular sky.
Maybe Dave Allen would be willing to fight Bellew at four weeks notice.
There are a lot of tbas on the card, maybe filling a few of them with local ticket sellers might help soften the financial blow for matchroom.

Whyte live on Talksport now saying he will fight Bellew instead of Haye. Whyte says he needs 2 weeks to get into shape. Sounds effing desperate to get this fight rather than the bill being pulled.

Yeah I think the card will go ahead without Bellew on regular sky.keirw wrote: ↑21 Nov 2017, 11:56 I know it isn't that simple, but I'd like them to keep the card running and put it on regular sky.

Can't see Bellew fighting on the date tbh
If he do fight itll be an opponent not really worth talking about

Re: Bellew / Haye interim bout
Hilarious is bellew, says he may retire before the Haye fight agreed as he's only interested in massive fights now he's taking an interim
Re: Bellew / Haye interim bout
Bellow will struggle against a natural heavy like Whyte, he may well lose and it wouldn't be a big payday.
He is looking to secure his financial future and this won't do it. He wants a Haye, Fury or one of the title holders to give him this payday.
If he takes an interim fight to keep a bigger fight alive he will want something low risk.

Re: Bellew / Haye interim bout
From Bellews point of view I could see him wanting Haye to take a warm up fight to see if he can get through a camp.
