He won 5 points - 375 -> 380 yes

Why should he lose points?

because a brush referee notes was smooth with a slight advantage corales fight by the way was also smooth and the difference in points Jezreel Corrales vs Robinson Castellanos before the fight 375 vs point 194, respectively logical need corales minus point and Castellanos plus point, then it would be logical to show real action in the ring????

so logically and mathematically correctly) ... Andre ward vs Sergey Kovalev ballyboy , brush sodaski notes: 114-113 three times respectively, and the difference in points after the fight not a big 630 versus 612 points ????

Ward had 391 points before the bout and Kovalev had 851 points. BoxRec rules say a winner is always rated higher than the loser after the win. So after the bout Ward was closely above the average of their pre-bout ratings. (851 + 391)/2 = 621.

I agree Martin that the winner has the higher rating but if the winner fights almost exactly the loser has in fact two times more points that the winner got to subtract points and the loser to add to preserve the objectivity????

Jezreel Corrales 375 point before the fight with Robinson Castellanos 194 point to combat the expense of suddy 94-93; 96-93; 94-94... a battle of equals, the logic of Corrales minus point, and Robinson Castellanos plus point, but in fact 381 point corales and 193 point Robinson Castellanos????

Michael,

this is an error with TD decisions I already found and corrected. It will be released with the next rating version. :D
Winners by TD currently erroneously cannot lose points and losers cannot win points. But they should.

So Corrales will lose 12 of his current points and Castellanos will get 12 additional points with the new release.

But there are some further problems with TDs and it will take some time ... :TU:

bit of an odd request I know

whats the chances of seeing a 'family tree' of bouts... I'll get to what I mean.

So at some point there is a chronological 'first bout', right? (more than one of course)
Those two fighters went on to fight other people, and so on and so forth, and the ratings points of the whole database right up to today at some level depend on these originating bouts, is that right?

So is that right? is the whole database dependent on the first bouts in date order, or at least on 'parent' bouts, those where two 'debutants' fight, go on to fight others, and these subsequent bouts/fighters 'link up', as a family tree would with marriages, with another 'tree' of bouts?

And can we see a visual representation of that?

It is something that we have been looking at. But it isn't a priority and it looks like it will really hammer the database :verysad:

true, i leave those questions up to the computer people lol

would be cool to see how it came out, as you hovered over a boxer it could highlight the bouts they took part in

I think I've found an error.

Chris Byrd beat DaVarryl Williamson by UD, but Byrd lost points and Williamson gained points.

Not unreasonable considering how close the cards were and that Byrd had almost 3x the points as Williamson..

Byrd vs Williamson scorecards were 116:112, 115:113, 116.112. So Byrd was in front with 10/3 = 3.3 points per judge. A wide win on points would require 6 points per judge. So it was more a close win.

And as JCS pointed out Byrd was a 3 to 1 favorite - so he lost some points.

50% of the rating is Povetkin Carlos takam 251 vs 168 points 2014-10-24
that because the next range 2014-10-24... 2016-04-24
there best opposition Michael Perez 2015-05-22...2016-11-22
there best Mariusz wach 2015-11-04...2017-05-05 there best Johann Duhaupas???

I will look into it ...

Added: Yes, there a bug :TU:

I corrected this. Povetkin will now have a reduction to 284 points on 2017-05-05.

hi Martin! I have a question about accrued points in battle
Eleider Alvarez vs Jean Pascal 2017-06-03
referee cards referee:
Woodburn 112-116 | 114-114 Richard DeCarufel | Rodolfo Ramirez 111-117
points before the fight 231-266 after the battle 300-215.
judges notes equal because I think Eleider Alvarez got a lot of points for this fight???
