If every small hall show was available for £1.49 then i'd sure as hell watch a few so it's not the worse idea in the world. I'd of thought the point of the low price is just to cover the cost of broadcasting it really and it's not to make money. Altho vip seem to show some of their shows without a fee.

The problem is, psychologically speaking, there's a bigger jump between paying nothing and paying £1.49 than between £14.95 and £19.95.

Once somebody has got used to paying, getting them to pay a little more is relatively easy, but trying to convince a decent number of people to pay even a small amount for something they are so used to getting for free (ie YouTube) is actually quite difficult.

For the record, if it helps to bring more money in for the small hall shows then I hope it works, but I don't think it will. Just out of interest, does anybody know how many paying viewers Parker vs Fury got?

If there were a couple of decent fights, then I'd consider paying for cards. There aren't any on this bill, it looks shite.

This is the definition of a crappy small hall show. Compare this with Steffy Bull's show the next night.

I think its the way forward and we should support it

All the fights from Stefy's show will be on YouTube by the end of Sunday evening for free.

Maybe but it won't help him fund the show or future shows

No, but it means people get to see the fights without having to put their hands in their pockets and the fighters get seen by a potential new audience. Stefy's managing to put on quality shows without having to charge viewing fees and that I think tells it's own story.

If you think Hennessy's Youtube PPV show is helping to "fund the show or future shows" then you're way short of the mark. Hennessy's show is unlikely to get enough buys to cover the production costs.

I film Stefy's shows with one camera at cost. Doing a live steam with multicam and commentary is fairly easy, but the costs quickly add up. I used to work for Hatton Promotions when we were doing live YouTube broadcasts between 2010 and 2012 as part of Hatton TV and it was a complete false economy.

I hope that it can help fund shows and I hope that fans will support them without having to dig deep.
If it helped someone like Stefy fund his shows it is surely a good thing for the grass roots promoters without tvdeals.
Of course if it makes you lose money it is another thing

What were the outlays for doing a live YouTube show back then?

I don't understand the thinking behind this. Yes, it's not a lot of money, but then again, there are a lot of things nobody would pay any amount of money for. This is the boxing equivalent of sticking a Sunday League football match on a PPV platform and expecting people to buy it just because it's cheap.

Ask yourself this: do you watch so much boxing that you'd go out of your way to watch Pink Tyson vs some nobody? If not, why the hell would you pay for it?

I'll pay the money to watch Daws and Nevin, you could pay me to watch the woman.

Horrendous press releases don't help, comparing her to Duran and PBF.........

This card is a cluster of dog ....

Apparently Nathaniel Wilson's opponent just pulled out because he found out Wilson was Eubank Snr's son.

This thing is ridiculous

I believe there was less than 100 viewers and pink tyson won in a hard fought battle. Hardly the next tyson. Jonas & cameron both stopped the opponent.
