Ustinov vs. Charr Sat. 25 Nov 2017

Post by Ilya Muromets »

Charr is about a 1 1/2 to 1 favorite. Ustinov has had only one fight in two years tho, and that against a designated loser, the Brazilian called Love who sat down in round one.

I'd have picked Ustinov over Charr a couple of years ago, but he's been so inactive and he's almost 41 now.

Live on Sky Sports News Germany funnily enough. I'll watch it but I don't expect fireworks. Charr has a good chance in this fight and if he wins might get another chance at fighting for a proper belt. I'll be supporting the big man from Minsk however.

youd have to pay me to watch this mediocrity. it will be boring and skill less.charr just bumbling forward, ustinov, despite being a mountain of a man, throwing tapping jabs and an occasional sloppy right

Pretty weird how people spent all of these years acting like Ustinov was a highly-avoided contender deep in the top 20. It seemed like there was no basis for it then, but after this fight, it REALLY seems that way. Like, I remember one of the recent times that I mentioned Charr, someone responded that he didn't rate Charr at all, as though he wasn't even in the top 75. But now Ustinov is losing to Charr.

Another interesting fact about Charr is that he's weighed less than his previous fight for 4 straight fights now.

I'm kind of glad that Charr got the win, because he's younger than Ustinov and he's never been shy about pursuing good fights. He is the type of gatekeeper that the sport needs -- someone with credible wins who is willing to repeatedly fight and risk losing to contenders.

ya do ppl not get that? look at the state hes been in and it will be like 3 years out. charr is a very suitable comeback opponent. will try but is someone fury should beat even if hes off.

Anyone outside the top 8 is 'soft'. A 3rd match with Chisora would suck but it's still better than Charr. Charr is total ass.

Based on what? I wouldn't give Charr much of a shot vs Chisora or Dillian Whyte. They are both top 20. Us Charr even top 40?

Oh I know. I was just referring to the comment about Fury vs Chisora 3. I think Charr is the perfect comeback opponent for Fury

Oquendo will beat charr handily. Ustinov has always been woeful and now he's well past his prime that he was shit in. Fury won't be fighting anyone for years.
