Re: MMA
I'm not saying he earned a shot st the title. Just that he and Whitaker, stylistically, would be a very intriguing matchup.
Re: MMA
They'll fight in the future I'm sure. They're both so much younger than the rest of the division it's pretty much a certainty. Kelvin just needs to get his weight sorted, there's pics that are supposed to show him doing a variation of DCS trick to make weight for the fight. He doesn't look like a big MW so it's more than likely he just can't control his diet.Impractical Poster wrote: ↑25 Nov 2017, 14:44 I'm not saying he earned a shot st the title. In other news Whittaker just qualified to wrestle for Australia in the commonwealth games.

Whittaker doesn't have to defend the title, one just assumes he would like to fight at home. There never was a scenario where gsp was fighting again in Feb.gastelum is a good match up.p4p1 wrote: ↑25 Nov 2017, 11:45 Kelvin hasn't earned a shot at the title yet, he just lost to Weidman one fight ago FFS. He needs at least one more win before a title shot either Rockhold or Romero.
Whittaker shouldn't have to defend the interim title so the champions can continue to dodge legit competition at the weight. It's been 2 years since a #1 or even a top 5 guy got a shot at the title.
Bisping shouldn't have fought tonight IMO. 3 weeks after a tough fight he was almost stopped by strikes in before being choked out shows a lack of care by the UFC and his team.

The last fight went to a third round and it was a UD with two of the judges having it 30-27.

Re: MMA
I think he would be silly to take a fight before GSP. Not just incase he loses but an injury during the fight or anything else that pushes a fight with GSP further away could see the fight never materialising.SaadOffTheDeck wrote: ↑25 Nov 2017, 15:27Whittaker doesn't have to defend the title, one just assumes he would like to fight at home. I'm interested to see how it all pans out for Whittaker, he wants to have the GSP fight before April so he can compete at the comm games but that does seem unlikely.
Re: MMA
Did anyone else see that the UFC might be in the shit over its rankings and the way it gives its title shots? Some congressman or senator is trying to take them to task over it all though they're still better than boxing so I don't really see why they're being targeted.

Understood, I just imagine he wants that Perth fight and the PPV upside involved.p4p1 wrote: ↑25 Nov 2017, 21:47I think he would be silly to take a fight before GSP. Re: MMA
He isn't from Perth so I doubt he is that bothered and it's only been a year since he fought at home. From what I've seen on his social media he is far more interested in a fight with GSP than fighting in Perth and the PPV points will have a much better upside with GSP + the prestige of beating GSP and being undisputed champion will have a continued positive effect for his bank account.SaadOffTheDeck wrote: ↑25 Nov 2017, 23:48Understood, I just imagine he wants that Perth fight and the PPV upside involved.p4p1 wrote: ↑25 Nov 2017, 21:47I think he would be silly to take a fight before GSP. Re: MMA
I think the rumours/stories about Bisping being blind in his right eye are starting to look pretty legit. He got knocked out by a left hook this weekend, GSP hurt him with a left hook, Belfort knocked him out with a left high kick. I have a friend I trained with who had the same thing happen and is now blind in the eye and it looks really similar to the way Bisping does.

I don't think he'll beat gsp, but if he doesn't care about headlining in Perth he should just wait until summer.p4p1 wrote: ↑26 Nov 2017, 00:11He isn't from Perth so I doubt he is that bothered and it's only been a year since he fought at home. Besides GSP getting a bit gassed, I thought he looked good.
