No, not really.... and I live in Zimbabwe, so it would actually take me a year to earn £1.49 considering current exchange rates![]()

Frampton v quigg has got to be up there. At least with haye v Harrison something happened. Even from the 8th round when it got better, it never got good, just quigg actually threw a few punches.
The build up lasted about three years as well.

I find it hard to see PPV as a rip off when it's far better value than actually going to it, I mean it's only 15 quid.

Yeah, both culpable but quigg needed to throw more. Frampton did little but just enough to keep wining the rounds.TheLeprechaun wrote: ↑29 Nov 2017, 06:10Everyone blames Quigg but Frampton was stinking it out tooBigdogsnose wrote: ↑29 Nov 2017, 03:24 Frampton v quigg has got to be up there. Boxing is my sport, I don't follow football, rugby etc. and unfortunately pay per view is part of the sport like it or lump it! for the sake of less that £20 i don't mind. its cheaper than a night in the pub and 9 times out of 10 i feel i get value for money, no one forces you to buy them. i just get my mates round and make a night of it!

Have vs. Audley
But......
Does anyone remember when Sky put on a PPV darts match ?.
Taylor vs. a big fat man. The fat man had to stop playing, he was too unfit to play a darts match !!!.
True.

I paid for Bernard Hopkins vs. Morrade Hakkar on the first incarnation of Setanta. A crisp tenner it cost. Feel sick thinking back now.
Think they only showed one other fight on the undercard...might've been Tua vs. Rahman 2. The same channel also showed Kevin Bennett on PPV as well, could've been the Graham Earl fight or similar.

Come to think of it Botha vs Lewis was pretty poor. It must be one of the only ppvs which a case for the opponent was zero.

The States have had some gems though. Mike Tyson post Kevin McBride in a exhibition against Correy Sanders

You don't know the half of it. I ruptured my hamstring that night and literally crawled into my apartment to watch that and sober up before I went to the hospital.Tanzio wrote: ↑30 Nov 2017, 21:27SaadOffTheDeck wrote: ↑27 Nov 2017, 19:07It sure was. Lol, I have an incredible tolerance to pain. Best reason why it's good I didn't pursue boxing. That was the worst I've ever endured.Tanzio wrote: ↑30 Nov 2017, 21:47SaadOffTheDeck wrote: ↑30 Nov 2017, 21:36You don't know the half of it. Yes, I mentioned it early on in the thread... Not sure it was Sky, though.

Re: Worst PPV you've spent your hard earned on?
Just checked, it was Sky, £9.95 and an estimated 1million viewers bought. Fordham spent the afternoon downing pints in the bar at the venue and retired, 5-2 down in sets, with a suspected asthma attack. Sid Waddel commented "he's sweating like a hippo in a power shower".mickey1975 wrote: ↑01 Dec 2017, 03:31Yes, I mentioned it early on in the thread... Not sure it was Sky, though.
Re: Worst PPV you've spent your hard earned on?
Haye v Audley. Plus, I wasn’t able to record it (first time with PPV).
So I didn’t buy another one - until Quigg v Frampton, where obviously nothing happened until round ten due to Quigg’s caution and Frampton’s combination of speed and awkwardness. Oops...

Sorry, just seen your comments. Fordham wasn't fit enough to finish the match, embarrassing.mickey1975 wrote: ↑01 Dec 2017, 03:31Yes, I mentioned it early on in the thread... Not sure it was Sky, though.
