I really don't see how this can be stopped. If they take it off the internet it will just be done old school by touts like you see all the time outside popular sports events. Stubhub isn't the only place touting goes on over the internet. You've got ebay and other merchants.

On a separate note I think this will set a record for buys of a non Sky PPV which will stand for a hell of a long time. I can't think of any BT PPVs that are going to get close to this. I don't know if the fighters fees have been pre agreed but if not the promoter stands to make a fortune here as I reckon it will do over 500k buys with ease.

It can be made extremely difficult for touts. Radiohead, Adele, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran all do it. It's no inconvenience to anyone who's actually going. Boxing doesn't want to do it.

What do you mean Mickey all the above names do it?

How could it be made difficult.

The only way i see it made difficult is that your name is on the ticket and you have to show id, but it could be unfair if say i could not attend a concert but could not give my seat to my daughter for example.

It's simple, only the person named on the ticket can attend. I think that's what they do with Glastonbury tickets. It would stop this nonsense in an instant but there are too many vested interests in boxing and other sports and too much money to be made from fleecing fans for this to actually happen. I can't see how doing it would cost significantly more.

They could have a ticket resell platform like some football clubs do where if you can't attend an event you can offer the ticket to others on a platform for face value or less to avoid being left out of pocket. This issue could easily be resolved.

You would trust your daughter with card used in booking. That is the ticket alongside email confirmation.

It’s nice for the Northern fans that it’s in Manchester but as soon as I saw it was up there I thought “i’ll watch it in the pub.” I just don’t have the time or the money for hotels and train fares and all that. It was a relief almost as I can’t be doing with not being able to get a ticket for something: I haven’t been to a big fight in years it’s impossible to get tickets.

Brilliant fight though. 2017 was a good year. 2018 looks set to be something special.

Same here mate, missed so many fights as they are usually down south and it's almost impossible to get tickets at face value,if at all, been lucky with this one as i only live 45 mins away and got 4 cheap seats the minute they went on sale.

What's the best price bracket to make a few quid on? The cheaper ones ? there is a few 400s on there but don't look like there is much demand in those.

Not doing this by the way, just wondered
