Hearn: Tyson Fury vs. Tony Bellew is Target Fight For 2018
We may get a heavyweight showdown between former world champion Tony Bellew and Tyson Fury in 2018, according to promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom.
Hearn has spoken to both fighters about agreeing a deal.
Bellew was scheduled to fight next month in a rematch with David Haye, who withdrew with a bicep injury. While a Haye rematch is being rescheduled for next March or May - there is guarantee the fight will actual happen.
Hearn is very interested in working with Fury, who the promoter claims is a free agent.
He is currently training for a planned return in 2018 and aims to reclaim his license to box in the next few weeks. He has a hearing scheduled with UK-Anti Doping, who claim the boxer tested positive for a banned substance in early 2015.
In the last few weeks, the Fury and Bellew have been trading words on social media.
Hearn believes the contest will actually come off and claims it's not a very difficult deal to make.
"I believe you will see Bellew vs Fury in 2018 but it won't be the next one," Hearn told Sky Sports.
"My plan for Tony Bellew is to beat David Haye then fight Tyson Fury. By the time he beats Haye, the Fury [anti-doping hearing] situation may be in the clear. Tony has had discussions with Fury. We have had discussions. I spoke to Fury about that fight.
"Fury has joined up with [management company] MTK so we will speak to those guys about the fight. It's quite a simple deal but it's about timing of when the fight takes place."

Hearn: Tyson Fury Not a Big Puncher, Bellew Feels He Can Win
While there is a serious difference is size, Bellew feels confident that he can beat Fury - and Hearn believes his boxer has chance of pulling it off as well.
"Tony believes he has the style to beat Fury. And Fury is not the puncher that Deontay Wilder or Anthony Joshua are. When you go up from light-heavyweight to cruiserweight to heavyweight, your big disadvantage is the punch power," Hearn told Sky Sports.
"Fury is extremely skilled but he is not a big puncher. I'm not saying he isn't a puncher. But he isn't a devastating one-punch knockout artist, like the others. So Tony believes he can beat him."
According to Hearn, Haye appears to be very eager to reschedule the rematch and get revenge on Bellew for the March TKO defeat.
"Haye is extremely driven to make the [Bellew rematch]," Hearn said. "He has a clear mind, he is an athlete, and he will do everything he can to be 100 percent ready for Bellew."

Looks like it's getting serious.

Prob about the only PPV Id get involving Bellew, no way for Haye2 if it ever happens. Gets Fury back into the limelight. Makes sense.

Awful fight! Hearn can fukk off with this garbage. Get Tony in with a cruiser and stop trying to pass him off as some heavyweight contender!

Not a massive fan of this fight, mainly because it’s not comoetitive, but fair play to Bellew if it does happen.
He’s not a heavyweight and seems prepared to fight against the biggest of them all. I didn’t think he’d want anything to do with Fury, even for all the money in the world.

Bellew being led out to slaughter here

It'll answer some questions about Fury though. It's why I think it's bizarrely risky. He should win, but if his condition is all over the place you have to wonder if he could end up blowing out of his arse chasing Bellew around the ring.lillywhite14 wrote: ↑30 Nov 2017, 06:47 Not a massive fan of this fight, mainly because it’s not comoetitive, but fair play to Bellew if it does happen.![]()

I'm for this fight just for that reason.

Will they both be wearing their clown shoes?
Re: Hearn: Tyson Fury vs. Tony Bellew is Target Fight For 2018
Bellew probably taking a roll of the dice like he did with Haye that Fury is nowhere near the fighter he used to be.
Fury knows he only has to be half of what he was to win and that’s the only reason he’s even talked about this. It’s the only reason this fight is even on the table.
Can you imagine if Fury is completely washed up and somehow Bellew beats him? Then retires? Lineal Ring magazine heavyweight champion?
Nobody thought he’d beat Haye. What if Bellew survives into the later rounds and Tyson just doesn’t have any stamina to make it to the 12th?
It would be unbearable.

If that happens, Bellew is not retiring. Even more money to be made.

Fastcar's best friend is money.

I don't expect Bellew would be able to beat him, but I'd be rooting for him hard. With wins over David Haye and Tyson Fury he'd be a favorite of mine for sure.

Bellew wins in a shock upset, and then Price climbs into the ring for a karaoke rendition of Long-Haired Lover from Liverpool.

Take another look at this picture.

And tell me Tyson is not purposly hunching his shoulders and pushing his gut out.
The master of mind games is at it again me thinks.
If he stood tall with his shoulders back (like we do when a hottie walks past at he beach) he would not look that fat at all.
Thoughts??
