sad thing is that oquendo can still probably compete with charr. i suppose let the oldies, freaks, and shits battle it out as long as they keep to themselves.
You're probably right. Even though Oquendo is 44 and hasnt fought in over 3 years he still has a legit shot to defeat paper champ Charr, who is clearly one of the worst HW champs ever. The WBA heavyweight ranks are laughable...
For sure. The WBA ratings are a farce. Aside from the travesty that is Oquendo at #1, they've got BJ Flores at #9 & the ancient Guillermo Jones at #10.
Then again, not to be outdone the IBF has, for some reason, given a #15 world ranking to an obscure heavyweight from the country of Georgia named Iago Kiladze. He's 26-1, which sounds impressive enough, but upon closer inspection, he lost by KO to a cruiserweight & has only fought twice at heavyweight. One against the often beaten Byron Polly & once against another blown up cruiser in Pedro Rodriguez.
The WBO has there own head-scratching ratings with their top contender being the mediocre Christian Hammer & their #2 being unbeaten, but totally unproven Tom Schwarz.
Why is there still new threads about this sh*t? Is this still news to some of you guys? Fres Oquendo's been a court ordered WBA mandatory for like 3 years now

We all know about the court order. But how does he keep climbing up in the ratings. He was rated number 4 last month.
How does he climb the ratings with 4 years of inactivity.
They could of just left him at number 4. But now technically he's the number 1 contender to Joshua.

Why do you or anybody give two sh*ts about the WBA anymore? How much of a joke do they need to be before people stop caring? I mean...they can't drag their reputation as a meaningful title org any further into the mud than this can they? So why does anybody still even care?

I'm beginning to feel that way about all the alphabet groups.
Indeed. The Champion makes the title. Most of the Alphabet orgs themselves don't mean sh*t anymore. Not that there aren't respectable Champions scattered among them.
