instead of calling Tyson Fury out for a fight that shouldn't happen, he should train with him, Hughie and Uncle Peter...

Nothing here to suggest a different result once they step Price up...

Hilariously corrupt refereeing - did everything he could to slow the pace down and give Price huge breathers, then gave him every round as well

Price looked knackered there,no snap in the jab as usual, and panics when attacked.

60-54 a tad ridiculous, 2nd and 3rd rounds could have gone to Sokolowski...

Dunno were pricey goes sadly, doesn't want any more than 6 rounders, fighters like Dave Allen would just out last him. Scorecard was pathetic, Sokolowski won 2 for me. Don't think the long pauses benefitted Price tho as Sokolowski was just as tired as Price. Price's jab was decent, barely threw his power shots tho which asks the question, how the hell was he so tired. Fair play to him tho, said in his interview he's not on Fury's level.

I've never seen a fighter look so gunshy following KO losses in my life. Price looks almost terrified when attacked. Even against an opponent of this caliber. He might as well just call it a career because he's not winning any more major titles. Not even domestic ones.

how far can Price go today?
Charr for the WBA 'Regular'?
Johnson for the IBO?
Kabayel for the European?
Thomas for the Commonwealth?
Sexton for the British?

I'm not sure he can get past Sexton today.
Maybe he needs to spend a year fighting every couple of months against guys like AJ Carter, Akinlade, Howe, Darch, Cornish and Little and finish 2018 with a shot at the British...

Sadly I think he's kidding himself

I hope he decides to retire now rather than risk getting badly hurt at this stage

Price needs to retire. He's got nothing left.

Yes if his handlers really do care about him then they would have Price operating at that sort of level for the time being. The way he panics when someone presses forward is still horrible to watch. Hope he goes well and his stamina was better than the Hammer fight (albeit with a bit of assistance from the ref  ), but he will always be a knockout waiting to happen.

It's clear he's after a big payday, but to even get a sniff of one he needs to be doing better than last night.

price so feeble in there. little tapping non commtted jabs and totally tensed when the pole put together any sort of combo. just watchng that youd never beleve he used to be stoppage artst widely touted for the top of the world.

this was aganst a 4-12 guy too. ya hes better than those numbers but hes still a journyeman who lost every round to cornsh and couldnt beat tom lttle.

does dp really want to do this? he seems absolutely terrfed. surely must be an awful experience for him.

b4 this id still say 'levels' -remember how dp trounced the brtsh title scene. allen cant even win commonwealth' . but now allen for me as well. prices flaws are clearer at a lower level than they ever have been. he was scared in there aganst a 4-11 guy with 1 stoppage. he used to at least seem more confident against journymen and seem good enough vs them to mislead ppl into believing hed changed.

Hoolan wrote: 03 Dec 2017, 08:33 Did you see how tired he was in the post fight interview, after a fairly slow paced six rounds?

Does not augur well.

I don't know why he doesn't just come out blasting in his fights in the hope of sparking his opponent before he gasses.
He was blowing soo much in that interview. It shouldn't have taken place.

Career over in the ring unfortunately.
Fitness was always an issue. Seems like a nice fella and best of luck to him. I wish I was a premier league footballer but wasn't good enough. Just like price and boxing but best of luck to him and hopefully he has a few quid in the bank

Poor Pricey, every time they put him back together after a career-shattering KO it seems they're missing a few more pieces...

Thomas or Sexton maybe. The rest would starch him. Johnson is way past his best but is coming off a good win. Very durable so I could see him dragging Price in to the later rounds and catching him.

my impression of the fight.....

first 3 rounds price was awful, fighting scared, too worried about shipping some punishment. the other fella was game but limited. I cant see Price rising above british title level now. His next opponent should be Allen or lewison.
