How come Bisping was allowed to fight so soon after his Loss?

I don’t follow this sport, but it seemed quick to me.
He was a replacement, and somehow was not medically suspended aafter getting blasted with a left hook then choked unconscious.

Dinald Cerrone has had fights weeks after one. As long as they are healthy, and the UFC is ok with it, it's not unheard of.

Personally, I feel Bisping should have had at least a 3 month medical suspension following the GSP loss.
Bisping was still under medical suspension(given 1 month) when he fought but I believe the jurisdiction is only the in state that it was given but most states will uphold a medical suspension from another state in the US. The fight was in another country so the medical suspension isn't enforced.

Any knockout or submission loss should carry a month suspension but sadly money talks and secret handshakes and brown envelopes do the talking

What's Ngannou like ?

If he beats Overeem would that make him next in line for Stipe ?

He's a sick athlete, he's only been training a few years. I think the winner gets Stipe, I wouldn't be shocked if they tried to put it on 219.

He's a scarey dude. But he's rough around the edges. A lot of hype around him. For good reason. I think he would get beaat by the likes of Gus and DC. Of course, Jones too. Not sure about Overeem. Overeem definitely has the potential to beat Ngannou, but he is relatively chinny and in the twilight of his career. A pre USADA Overeem would probably slow the hype on this guy. But now, I think Overeem losing will overrate this guy.

This will be Aldo's 14th straight WEC/UFC title fight. Not a bad stat.

So did Max. A short notice fight when you already have a tough cut is always going to make things harder.

Diego Sanchez just 'lost' an exhibition fight. He made the guys dream come true so hats off to Diego for being an awesome bloke.

I have ni idea why I was thinking Ngannu was a LHW. My brain hasn't neen sharp lately.

Anyhow, didn't see the fight tonight, but saw that Ngannu made quick work of Overeem. Will be interesting to see who they put him in with next. Derrick Lewis would be interesting.

Pretty sure they're saying Ngannu will fight for the title now. Makes sense, Reem was ranked #2 and he just tried to decapitate him. Time for Reem to retire though. He's been knocked out way too many times now.

Reem was #2?

Wow! The division is the worst in the UFC.

One of the nastiest knockouts ever. You didn't miss Eddie and Justin?

Aldo is what you get when you're as skilled and well rounded as GSP but you have Overeems fight IQ.

The Eddie Alvarez v gaethje fight was quality. Only been watching MMA for 18 months don't really see much body work in a fight.

Agree with you in the body shots. There are guys who use body kicks often. Best body shot finish I remember is Jones Vs Shogun Rua. :TU:
