Liam Smith vs. Sadam Ali - WBO 154 Belt

Post by Ruthless-RKO »

So Liam Smith is mandatory to Sadam Ali!

I'm glad that Smith won't be fighting for a vacant title, like he did the last time he won the WBO title. This way, he can win the title from the titleholder.

I'm guessing Smith and Wårren may be happy with this too..

Wårren was hoping for Cotto to stay fighting.. But he obviously didn't win and the title is not vacant..

I'm not sure Ali will stay champion for long time, or he will be allowed a voluntary. Or whether he goes back down to 147 if he loses his next fight.

I believe Ali will look to defend the WBO title as it is his first world title.

Smith and Wårren will think this is an easy fight.. maybe.. fight could take place in NY or UK.. Who knows..

Does the fight happen?

Hahahahahah

No vacant belt vs a waster on a BT show in the UK for Beefy. Probably happen at Madison square garden theatre or would be a decent addition to the undercard of the likely rematch between GGG v Canelo rematch 5th May.

Ali shown he can do twelve rounds at a good pace and can box on the back foot which is sufficient to beat Smith. He actually looked better when Cotto was pushed back last night.

Smith has less movement and slower handspeed than an old Cotto. I also think Ali will throw more uppercuts than he did last night because of how easy they will be to land on Smith.

Ali wide points or late stoppage. Not because I think Ali is good but that Smith is nowhere near world class. A lot of fighters at 154 beat him.

When Cotto fight for this vacant belt he hadn't won a fight in over two years and hadn't fought at 154 in around four years.

Ali is about as much a legitimate title holder as I am a Bee Gee :D

Fair play to Ali for beating Cotto but Smiths vacant bouts were worth a lot than Cotto's was.
