I used to stay awake so much more. These days I set the alarm, go to bed around nine, wake up and watch it live, then maybe have a few more hours kip if it's a fight I'm looking forward to. If it's one I want to see but aren't that bothered about I just record and watch in the morning. I don't know why the latter means a bit less, (I've never had the result spoiled.) Just a daft thing about wanting to watch it live.

Like some have said, I've stayed up for Mayweather fights wanting him to lose and inevitably regretted watching him stink his way to a stress-free win.

Tyson vs McBride - that was just sad. Never seen a Tyson just look so much like he didn't want to be there from the off. From the ring walk, he just look haunted.

Shortly before I left the UK I stayed up to listen to Henry Akinwande v Scott Welch on a stacked bill in Tennessee which also had Kevin Lueshing challenging Felix Trinidad (I'd convinced myself he had a chance ).

BBC Radio had the bout commentary. It wasn't pretty

I was pretty gutted and wished I didn't stay up to Prince naseem when beaten up methodological by barerra.... however since actually watching the fight back it was a master class by barrera who effectively ended naseems career...

De La Hoya v Trinidad was an extreme disappointment. Was expecting/hoping for fireworks. It was a good display of boxing from Oscar for most of the fight but the fight never really got going.
I didn’t think Trinidad won it.

I remember staying up to listen to that card. The Trindad v Lueshing one was quite exciting while it lasted.

Last year the only two I stayed up for were Crawford v Indongo (because of the four belt unification) and Golovkin v Alvarez and I don't think I had done so for any in the past few years.

This was at Barclays Center and it had loads of exterior shots of New York.
Mind wandered of his story’s of the greats of New York boxing.
I paid little attention to the fight of the year I’d stayed up for and whenever I hear the fight get mentioned the first memory I have is of my Grandad and his Jack Dempsey story’s.
