Clean & quality punches far outweighs anything else.

In rounds where the clean shots are roughly even i look for aggression. If a fighter chooses to box and move from the outside but fails to land more effective shots on his aggressive opponent then his tactics don't impress me. The biggest flaw in modern day scoring is awarding rounds to undeserving negative fighters. Perhaps it's the Floyd effect - the amount of rounds judges and fans felt compelled to give him - for doing nothing other than starving a round of action - was a bizarre phenomenon.

Two fights that illustrate clearly the above described lack of objectivity by many observers leading to cards that were far to wide and to shrieks and squeals of robbery and corruption were Pac v Ramming Speed I
I scored Manny vs Bradley, on a round by round basis and Manny won

I remember in the Floyd vs Pacquiao fight, people arguing that they awarded rounds for Floyd, exactly because nothing happened.
The logic being, if nothing happened it must have been down to Floyds defensive genius. Well yeah, I suppose it was. Floyd used his defensive genius to totally negate the point of a boxing match and you have rewarded him for doing so..... :o

Yup - every second of a Floyd fight in which nothing happens, by default is awarded to Floyd. Very strange.

I'd much rather that than some of the egregious and flagrant misuses of the English language we have witnessed on here.
Has being used repeatedly, instead of as.
I still have sleepless nights remembering the time Asdfjkl continued to refer to someones opponends despite being repeatedly told the word was opponent

I think I'd rather a narrow win based on lots of close rounds, even if it is 118-117 or something ridiculous. Someone getting a score of 118-110 against them is a terrible reward for their efforts.
If it's a close fight, it would never really be 118-110, unless you're Adelaide Byrd lol.

Also, not sure about you, but I hate draws. Fans always tend to boo at draws, because we want to see a winner. I understand, sometimes a fight is really close, I draw is fair, and because the fighters have given it their all, the fans respect that. Example would be, Frampton vs. LSC. Both fights, you could really score for either fighter tbh. A robbery doesn't need to be 118-110.
I remember the first Barrera-Morales fight. Very close fight. Every round was close.
Because the styles were so different there was a huge gulf in people’s scorecards.
I think I had Barrera by a country mile even though it was close.
I rarely score a round even. Usually someone’s work I favour regardless of how close.
Bit like athletics or horse racing. Easy to call it a draw but if you look closely there’s usually someone who’s nicked it.

If you scored even rounds, it could be scored 120-120
