cases where u/you disagree with most ppl

Post by jamamb »

can be about who won, whether a ref decision was fair, a prediction 4 a fight that hasnt happened, etc. feel free and dont shame ppl.

i thought gavin beat bundu.

i love wilder and rate him.same goes for eubank jr.really like adonis too.

i dont dislike the smiths.

im not sold on big danny dubois at all. think hes been matched in extremely flattering way against glass chins and much smaller guys from divisions lower.looks lumbering and crude to me. being that adonis looking at that young doesnt necessarily mean hes locked on.

also think ggg is the biggest hype job ever and wouldve been mullered by froch. pretty much any world class smw wouldve beaten him too. groves, jack, degale, prime dirrrll, etc.canelo was a far better boxer against ggg.

perfect example of what i mean. i argued with ppl here about that too. axtually thought jmm won but was super close. for some reason this narrative started where it was some one sided schooling by jm.

A good portion dont think Eubank Jr is a 'real deal' and Groves will beat him.

Well my friends you are wrong. Jr will not only beat Groves but beat him massively.

My theory is lots of people wanted Marquez to win and Pacquiao was a very heavy favourite so there was the underdog element as well. Objectively it was fairly close with Marquez doing better than most thought and Pacquiao doing worse. Combine them and I think you have a situation where people scream robbery when it didn't happen. I thought Pacquiao won close but clear.

I disagree, that prime Tyson would have KOed prime Lewis, Holyfield or Klitschkos. I believe, all of them would have given him a tough fight at least.

Tyson Fury lacked heart in the first McDermott and Wladimir fights.

Hopkins beat Calzaghe, landed sharper counters for most of the night.

Froch lost against Dirrell
I saw Froch as a huge favourite vs Abraham - I’d seen a lot of AA beforehand and just didn’t see what the fuss was about!
Also thought Cotto and Margarito would beat Pac-Man
Genuinely believed Danny Williams would beat Tyson
Still honestly think Williams could have been a multiple world champion if his head was right and he lived clean
I thought Hatton vs Mayweather would be close
Thought Harrison would school and brush aside Rogan

I still think haye could knock out Joshua. ..
I think canelo has the judge's in his pocket...
I think quigg beats frampton easy in the rematch..
I think Parker is not in the top 10 heavyweights
I also think eubank jnr is the most exciting fighter in the world....
I also think eddie hearn is so far ahead of other promoters it's outrageous

This is something I agree with you. Love Wilder, like his style and hwo he portrays himself.

Been following Eubank Jr. since he started out. Big fan. His proper coming out party is vs. Groves.

I also like Adonis, I think he's good. He's just let me down with his fights.

In terms of boxing, I was convinced Groves would handsomely beat Froch in the rematch.

I thought David Price was a champion in waiting.

Actually there are loads of boxing ones.......

My political views are contrary to most of my friends and colleagues, as I'm a socialist and Corbyn supporter (not as unpopular as it once was).

The biggest one is probably that I firmly believe that we exist within a computer simulation............. :geek:

Groves beat Badou Jack.

Maidana beat Floyd in the first fight.

Hassan Ndam won the first fight with Ryota Murata.

Lee Selby is the most overated fighter in the country.

I thought a draw was a fair verdict in Delahoya/Trinidad.

Delahoya was the better man on the night but round by round he gave too much away to win the fight.

Here are few of mine...

Vitali would have beaten Lennox if that cut did not happen.

Mayweathers legacy is tainted by cherry picking, ducking and using catchweights and other advantages. Who you beat and when is the biggest criteria for ones standing in the all time best rankings. Pac and many old greats have done way more than Floyd.

Heavyweights of modern era would beat the heavies that fought before the nineties.

Golovkin is overhyped, he dominates a piss weak division.

when i waited for the decision in groves-jack i thought it was very much in doubt whod win. jack had quality and the memorable stuff but went lots of rounds doing very little while groves kept at it. seems like a lot of ppl treat it as convinging win now but scoring round by round it really wasnt!

In think josh Warrington and the Lee Selby fight is alot closer and evenly matched then most. Selby is favourite but I wudnt b shocked at all if Warrington beat him.

I've never been sold on Calzaghe, his record is littered with a lot of non-entities and for me he was good but certainly not great.

I thought Canelo out-foxed GGG... GGG had one gameplan to walk Canelo down & couldn't nail him.

I thought Canelo made him miss & outboxed him by a few rounds on the cards - obviously I realise I'm in the minority. But that was my verdict :TU:
