Stop Press....Tightwad Tommy Fails again!

Post by boxingchat »

Hot off the press.....Tightwad Tommy Gilmour loses the Anderson Muttley purse offer again but this time to a Promoter with NO TV and the fight stays in Brum.

Poor old Anderson, must wonder why his own Millionaire Manager/Promoter can't compete with a provincial promoter with no TV and why he still has to go to Birmingham. Shows how much value Tightwad and Sky place on young Kevin.

So much for his dirty tricks trying to screw Chris Sanigar.

BC,

Why hasn't Frank made an offer for this fight. I know they don't belong to him but with national exposure couldn't they drum up a big fight between them and one of Sport Networks star Welter's in the future.... Like Magee/Tak winner, Jennings, Pryce etc.

Good, because that Gimour is one slippery, slimey horible greedy bastard
whi regularly fucks fighters and does nothing but take, take, take and spend other peoples money.

I hope Muttley smashes Anderson to bits and Anderson sacks Tightwad for his obvious incompetance.

Not that I'm bitter or hold a grudge or anything like that! :TU:

FW did bid but only a token one as June dates are scarce on ITV due to World Cup. However, regardless Muttley is, and will remain a SN fighter and don't think that FW wasn't instumental in this situation.

My money's on a joint show with Errol Johnson!

Poor old Tommy, couldn't see the woods for the pound signs :TU:

if you knew anything about Boxing, class, life and humanity you would know the answer to your question without asking it.

I'm delighted that Gilmour lost too. Sanigar's winning bid the first time was 52K so I expected Gilmour to at least match that.

Errol Johnson almost did and its been enough to secure him the fight.

Politics aside, Anderson vs Muttley is an excellent domestic duel. It would be a real shame if it wasn't picked up by TV. Why wouldn't SKY entertain Errol Johnson?

Errol is a real unsung hero of British Boxing - unlike Warren and many others he stages regular (almost monthly through most of the season) good quality small hall cards around the Midlands. He does so without the comfort blanket of TV revenue.

Mutley - Anderson deserves a TV date, undoubtedly. I bet it doesn't get one though because Errol aint 'one of the boys'. :(

Did Sanigar not bid this time? Bit of a shocker that Gilmore bid under the last "winning" bid - Anderson must be very unimpressed. Excellent prospect too, so you'd think they'd look harder for home advantage in such a tough match up.

Real f*** up if no TV in such a great X roads UK matchup. Eurosport at the very worst.

Maybe that Scandi boxing channel will be up & running by June.

It doesn't really matter where they fight anyway, Anderson will K.O Muttley. Hopefully anyway, just to shut some of you guys up. Tell you what Boxingchat, all going well and Anderson gets past Muttley, you should convince your boyfriend to put Michael Jennings in with Anderson. Anderson would K.O. him as well. :TU:

Anderson is in for a beating - that well documented porous defence is gonna have to absorb some bombs!!

I think due to their limited exposure nationwide this is only an ITV4 fight, is ITV4 covering the world cup?

Tommy Gilmour is a top class twat anyway.

Couldn't even get Jawaid Khaliq a decent bout.

Didn't Mayweather just nick Khaliq's 'Free with Cornflakes' belt?
