Doesn't look like Pascal's known stamina issue is gonna do Elbiali any good as he's looking gassed as hell in the 5th. Pascal landing heavy shots on Elbiali since the 2nd.

4-1 Pascal

Pascal stops a gassed Elbiali.

Early stoppage but writing was on the wall.

Pascal pours it on, and gets the stoppage. Elbiali showed a hell of a chin, but sh*t defense and stamina.

Good win to go out on for Pascal...though I figure chances are very high we haven't truly seen the last of him.

Yeah. Pascal himself has always had stamina issues, but it wasn't gonna matter tonight. Elbiali had never been in a tough fight like this one, and wasn't prepared for it.

Pascal in spite of his stamina issues has at least been there before, and knows how to keep going in spite of being tired. Against a guy like this his stamina issue wasn't an issue.

Just tuned in.

:yay:

Took the night off work but made my money anyway.

Thanks Pascal - good career for a limited fighter, enjoy your retirement. :salut:

thing is when u just get this type of win, it puts you in a position to make money with another notable fight. can jean fight off that type of lure and keep his word of retiring.

Trouble with Elbiali is he seems the type of fighter who's got by with his power until now so had no other game plan.

Pascal demonstrated a granite chin vs Kovalev so unless Elbiali felt he had Kovalev-levels of power he shouldn't have punched himself out.

I highly doubt it. Fighters almost never retire when they say they're gonna. Especially when there's still money on the table for them. Which there is for Pascal.

My bad - not an early stoppage from the ref, the towel came in.

Yeah this fight definitely showed Elbiali was a one trick pony.
