I won't believe it's going to take place until they're on their way to the ring.

You shouldn't let the few extreme posters push you into the opposite end. You're starting to come across a little badhusker-ish on Wilder and that's not a good thing.

I think Wilder vs Ortiz happens but unfortunatey due to the Joshua fight probably not coming off in 2018.

Wilder demands so much money from AJ, that AJ genuinly makes more money by fighting a bum instead of a beltholder.
I very much doubt this fight will happen, I also see Ortiz is downgrading hard, but even at this level I expect Wilder only to say such things if he knows this fight won't happen

I must be getting gullible in my old age because I found myself believing Wilder meant what he said to Ortiz and I thought he came across really well.

I course some may question Wilder's ambition, his professed intention to fight the best and unify the division, but I guess nobody ever said the guy can't talk the talk.

I really would like to believe in Deontay Wilder. If the fight ever goes ahead I'll be well on the way, but for now I'm with Gil.

Deontay Wilder will score a shockingly quick KO victory over the heavily-hyped Luis Ortiz.

I can't help thinking that Team Wilder possess inside knowledge of the Cuban's decline, because they really seem to fancy the job.

I also believe that Ortiz has endured a prolonged period of poor form, with many believing that it's due to his advanced years (as he appears to look much older than his official age).

I'm probably going to be proven wrong about this prediction, but I really can't help the way my gut instinct currently feels.

If Wilder is able to keep the distance and to time right hand, he'll knock Ortiz out, I believe.

The amount of hate Wilder gets on here because his opponents fail drug tests is astonishing, and pathetic. Not only that, but it shows a true lack of intelligence and common sense among so many posters.

If I were Wilder, I would put in the contract an extra $5 million penalty if an opponent fails a drug test. (For Ortiz or Povetkin at least)

You have to give him credit for taking this fight, but many won't.

Intelligent opponents would only accept that if his personal lab is in no way involved. People want to see fair and honest testing, so take a Dutch lab, or Belgium, or Swedish, or Chinese lab for example. NOT NEVADA, LAS VEGAS, or any other American lab.

Has Wilder ever been tested by an independant lab? Not as far as I know in every case... Stiverne hasn't ever been caught either, except for taking illegal substanced life in the act of taking it by a dopingtester who was only there to take the samples.

How many fighters can you name that pays to get himself tested by independent labs?

I saw the end of the silly "fight" Ortiz had yesterday and the way they put Wilder at ringside and then Wilder's maniacal ranting about "blessing Ortiz". Why am I even watching this stupid stuff? It is becoming just like a WWE wrestling show, steroids and all, except hasn't wrestling - unlike boxing - cleaned up its act in recent years? And wrestling at least always billed itself as "sports entertainment" and not a real honest - yeah right - sport like boxing.

Wilder's appearance and demeanor makes me quite certain that he has more than a passing acquaintance with drugs.

Yeah why is this boy surprised that Ortiz has failed test? It was already 3rd time !!!!!!!!!!

Also almost everyone started suspect Povetkin after Klitschko whooped his hopeless ass .....

Povetkin looked like a crap in his recent fight against injured Rudenko... Maybe because he was not on on PEDS anymore ;))))

Not true at all and Povetkin was already going downhill after the Perez fight, look at him against Duhaupas, he was absolute shit back then already, nevertheless he was probably still loads better as Wilder for example. And about Rudenko, he kept Rudenko alive beïng scared to injure him even further.

I heard this fight announced before, but it didn't actually happen. Should I assume that this is just a way to sell tickets before they switch the opponent to Arreola at the last minute?

Povetkin was never so good as people hyped him. He is too small , short reach and no defence.

Usyk would do a work on Povektin and EASILY.

That's how limited Povetkin is.

I give him more credit than fence-straddlers like yourself. At least he has balls enough to take a stand. Carry on though, sit back and be the smart guy by criticizing those that actually have an opinion.

I've stated my opinion many times and there is absolutely nothing fence straddling about it. Let me refresh you:

I *think* Wilder is right at the top of the division.
I *know* Wilder has a dreadful resume.
I *know* that Wilder has the power to knock out any HW on the planet.
I *know* that you have defended each and every one of his pathetic title defenses.
I *think* you have a crush on him, and you are a completely different poster when he is involved.
