The one and only thing that we all might agree on unanimously is that Boxing in 2017 was amazing. The best fighting the best. We saw one great matchup after another and the list of great fights held in 2017 is too long to list. It was the year that promoters and boxers finally got it and the fans showed up and rewarded them for it.

So that means that 2018 is going to be amazing too right? Not so fast. Boxing's stock is way up right now and I think that we'll see a lot of promoters riding out the wave that a superb 2017 created and milk it for all that it's worth. Here we are approaching mid December and there's nothing spectacular on the schedule yet for 2018. Are you concerned? In the first 3 months of 2017, we were treated to DeGale/Jack, Frampton/Cruz, Vargas/Berchelt, Garcia/Thurman, Haye/Bellew, Lemieux/Stevens, Broner/Granados and GGG/Jacobs. Right now, the only fight scheduled for 2018 that is worth watching is Spence/Peterson.

I'm sure that more fights will be announced but I'm a little concerned about 2018 right now. What do you all think? Am I overreacting to a slow start to the year? Should we hit the panic button?

The big problem will be boxer like thurman who seems dont want to fight spence at all. Also promoters not working together like arum and haymon and elite boxer becoming past prime like gennady or roman.
