Truax wins a MD, thouroughly deserved(115-113), he wanted it more, was the busier, won his rounds big, hurt DeGale several times and was always on the front foot, DeGale was poor, disappointing performance I'm not sure if he did have an injured right hand but if so the way he went about things was all wrong, he kept going back to the ropes like he's always done and Truax had his best sucesss when DeGale was trapped on the ropes, the right uppercut landed flush a few times and hurt DeGale, Truax bullied DeGale on the inside as well, he was second best in pretty much every department, DeGale showed bravery again but he deserved to lose his title, he was worse than he was in the Medina fight

Plodding forward , finding the target easily .
Wouldn't be surprised if Degale calls it a day and I would think he came into the fight with shoulder problems .
Looked a shadow of the fighter he once was
The war with Jack ruined him.

Glad no politics.

Even though he had potential big domestic fights with Groves and Eubank Jr.

I think he needs a change of profession. The Badou Jack fight must have taken as much out of him as it looked like.

Truax has a wretched style and just isn't that good. He should be well paid to be served up to the UK winner of the super 6 which should suit everybody.

A fair decision for an away fighter! Well I'm pleased to be wrong. DeGale looked classier etc but at the end of the day he didn't do enough, simple as that. Fair play to FW, honest assessment.

Truax will sell his belt to Benavidez or Ramirez, who ever is the highest bidder.
Hopefully W@rren got an option on him...

I had the Groves fight a draw.

But is tonight's loss down to his trainer or time taking It's toll?

I bet FW is glad it was a 1 fight deal now as well.

Something that doesn’t add up - surely it’s unprofessional not to have a rematch clause incase something goes wrong for the Champ ?

Or did they expect easy Night and didn’t bother.

I hope to god W@rren didn't sign DeGale to a ridiculously expensive long term contract...
He didn’t - it was 1 fight then talk.

That’s why he was so honest.

DeGale said he's going to speak to Haymon about a rematch. He doubts it's in the contract though. Truax could just fight Ramirez.

Wow. Ramirez could become unified.

Can only be that - or the great Al Haymon thought fight was piss easy & didn’t bother.

Just seems so unprofessional not to cover yourself for 1 punch wonder or something out the ordinary happening.
