Should loma stay or move up?
Should loma stay or move up?
The version at super featherweight looks like a goat. This is a big reason why i would like him to stay clean out the division. Leo might come up. There is berchelt and machado.
Maybe he would be even stronger 1-2 divisions above who knows. Big problem i have is we dont know if he becomes slower worser by moving up and second lightweight and super lightweight have 0 elite boxer. Linares is okay. Nothing special. Davis might end up in jail for 20 years and mikey is overrated to me.
Stay the prime goat like version he is right now, clean out the division and in 2-3 years move up to welterweight and have history fights with spence & crawford.

Re: Should loma stay or move up?
Fight with Miguel Berchelt is what i wanna to see
I am sure Mayweather doesn´t want put Gervonta Davis against him. He can become undisputed champ but fights with Machado and Ogawa seems to be waste of time (but still acceptable).
Best for the fans would be Berchelt in march, Davis in summer, then set up megafight with Mikey Garcia at end of year at 135 lbs. Anyway, looking forward to next fight of him

Berchelt
Re: Should loma stay or move up?
It seems, he moves up. And there's Garcia. Perhaps it is the biggest possible fight for today. I'd like to see such stuff, of course.

Is davis facing 20 yrs inside?
Re: Should loma stay or move up?
STAY. Berchelt, Machado and Ogawa are good potential unification fights.
Who the hell wants to see Beltran get battered by Loma for 12 rounds?

I would like to see Loma/Berchelt. That is the biggest fight that can be made at 130, and it should be made before Loma moves to 135.
Re: Should loma stay or move up?
Loma-berchelt would be some fight

Re: Should loma stay or move up?
The only fights at 135 he should take are Garcia or Linares. Otherwise, unify 130.
Re: Should loma stay or move up?
I believe they said on the telecast he weighed in at 137 the following morning... so 130 or 126 seems perfect. Why push the issue? Rigondeaux did and look what happened.

Re: Should loma stay or move up?
The Garcia fight is the best fight in boxing, IMO.
They are both right about the same height. And it wasn't too long ago that Mikey was fighting @ 130. I highly doubt weight would be an issue regarding the outcome of the fight..

Best fight. I doubt that. Crawford spence is the best fight. Mikey is overrated. Mikey cant hang with loma. He just would be bigger.Impractical Poster wrote: ↑10 Dec 2017, 16:13 The Garcia fight is the best fight in boxing, IMO.

Re: Should loma stay or move up?
I disagree. I have Loma rated higher than Crawford. And Mikey over Spence. I agree that Loma would beat Mikey. But I can see Mikey posing some problems to Loma. There is no one else around Lomachenkos weight that would be remotely competitive. Many don't rank Mikey as high as I do. He's damn near technically flawless. Loma would have speed over Mikey. Garcia would have to time him.Jip wrote: ↑10 Dec 2017, 16:45Best fight. I doubt that. Crawford spence is the best fight. Mikey is overrated. Mikey cant hang with loma. So, I'm not to argue with you on the best fight being made. It is my opinion that Loma/Mikey is the highest level matchup to be made, and the one I look forward to being made the most
And as far as bieng bigger, I don't is much if any bigger than Loma.
Re: Should loma stay or move up?
By the way, Loma is about an inch taller than Garcia. He is built different, but it would be a 70/30 fight if they fought, in favor of Garcia.Impractical Poster wrote: ↑10 Dec 2017, 16:57I disagree. Why you mad bro?
Re: Should loma stay or move up?
the fight has gotten his panties in a bunch.
Re: Should loma stay or move up?
I think he'll end up staying in the division he's in right now, he's had his super fight and proved he is the number 1 lighter weight class boxer on the planet now.
There are still a few contenders out there for him to play with and honestly he hasn't unified a division yet despite being such an elite level competitor. Now, unifying not one but potentially 2 divisions or more would be record breaking in any sense. So he will probably focus on clearing out the super-featherweight division first and avenging the sole career loss against Orlando Salido then stepping up to lightweight and shifting his efforts on the champions there.

Salido has retired and he is not worth Nomassiah’s time.northern wrote: ↑10 Dec 2017, 20:22 I think he'll end up staying in the division he's in right now, he's had his super fight and proved he is the number 1 lighter weight class boxer on the planet now.

Re: Should loma stay or move up?
Berchelt would be a better scalp than anyone at 135 lbs. at the moment (minus Mikey that is). I'm not sure if Mikey is even moving back down to 135 lbs. Anyone know if the Figueroa fight will be held at 140 or 135?
Re: Should loma stay or move up?
lnares looks better on a resume than berchelt at the moment. and gves another weght class title to the resume. berchelt doesn't really get the full credit he deserves for some reason but jl gets plenty and wth the ring belt is even masqueradng as THE man at 135
Re: Should loma stay or move up?
Berchelt should be first if the deal can be done. He is skilled, tough, hits hard, and has heart. If Nomassiah skips him people would criticize him for it, unless the contract cannot get finalized. Even then, the ammo will likely always be used by the Ukrainian’s detractors.
Re: Should loma stay or move up?
jorges a top fghter wth a better rep than berchelt among most ppl imo. dont beleve loma would get much crtcsm if he jumped up and faced guy such as jorge. though i want to see the berchelt match too and gervonta. but 135 holds some interesting fghts. jorge garcia much taller easter etc.
Re: Should loma stay or move up?
I just think that he should fight Berchelt first. Nomassiah would be the favorite but Berchelt has earned his piece of the class.jamamb wrote: ↑10 Dec 2017, 22:30 jorges a top fghter wth a better rep than berchelt among most ppl imo. dont beleve loma would get much crtcsm if he jumped up and faced guy such as jorge. though i want to see the berchelt match too and gervonta. but 135 holds some interesting fghts. jorge garcia much taller easter etc.

Stay for now or...move down?
I know I'm in the extreme minority but I'd like to see him fight LSC! Two of my favorites, so that's my selfish reason.
