i was looking in to different heights at weight class i saw selby is 5'8 1/2 how does he make featherweight

god knows how people make the weight I’ve fought a 5”8 lad and he weighed in at 8st 1lb, it must be hard going

He always looks awful on the scales but it doesn't seem to effect him fight night. I've heard a few fighters say how big he is in the gym and they cudnt believe he makes to the weight.

some guys just have thin frames. ppl just assume tall means big and sturgglng to get weight right. i trained wth a 6;2 guy who was fat at 180 flabby at 160 and easily made 140 when training hard
and in photos of boxers where ppl go 'man hes so much bigger' a lot of time there just focusng on height. maybe its a mental bias to notice it first and foremost. i remember a pic of canelo and amir going around and ppl acting as if maybe wasnt much of dfference smply because amir taller and that the first thing ppl notce. they noticed it before seeing that canelos arms were double the size.
now i really wonder about yarde types. dude is loaded with bodybuilder type muscle and around 6'0 whch isnt short for 175. doesnt have chicken legs ether. has a 200 pound cruiserweght appearence to me.
