As much as I would like to see him avenge the Salido fight, I doubt any money will tempt Salido. He';s finished. He would end up quitting on his stool quicker than Rigo did. Salido will want to go down as the only fighter to have fought and not been beaten by Loma.

I think he should try unification. Why roll with 1 belt. Loma consistently says he doesn't care about the money. His opponents might though. Unless WBO can come up with a very good mandatory (which I doubt), I think he should definitely try unifying.

Loma already said he doubts Russel Jr wants a rematch.

Everyone has their price. After Salido's loss on Saturday he has no stock left - the W he has over Loma is his last meal ticket. It would be a gross mismatch though, I don't really have any desire to see that fight get made.

You have to take it with a grain of salt when a guy does this after a loss like that, but Salido said he's finished Boxing after the Roman fight.

A lot of guys say things like that in the heat of the moment, and change their minds later, but you never can tell for sure.

His only wins since the Loma fight Terdsak Jandaeng and Aristides Perez..

He went about 20 months without a win.

I know. Like i said the idea of what would amount to nothing more than gruesome vengance beating doesn't appeal to me.

Garcia won't fight Loma at 135. He is now a 140-pounder and won't risk his ass kicked at a lower weight.

Berchelt is his biggest threat, even bigger than Linares.

No, I meant as a more feasible opponent. I honestly don't think Mikey is moving back down to 135 lbs., unless the Figueroa fight is at 135, is it?
