Will Tyson win a world title in 2018?

Do you think Tyson will come back in 2018 and win a world title? There's talks of him fighting Bellew, which wouldn't be for a world title. Also big talk of him fighting Joshua for the IBF, WBA titles.

I reckon he should go for the WBA regular and fight Charr - would be a good name and a title in his first or second fight back and then dance with Joshua.

Does he beat AJ next year? (IBF & WBA)
Does he beat Parker? (WBO)
Does he beat Wilder? (WBC)
Does he beat Charr? (WBA Regular)

I don't and I doubt anyone else considers the WBA regular title to really be a world title. If Tyson came back, beat Joshua, Wilder and Parker, then he's undisputed. Moaning about him not fighting Charr would be a very weak argument.

I understand your argument. I don't really class the regular title as a world title, I don't really count any regular titles. It was just a name to throw in there.

Charr for the regular title would be a decent comeback fight after two years though. Can imagine it will be someone lower down the rankings

Depends how much of a toll his dicking about the last two years has had on him. Fury seems to have been overrated these last two years as well, let's not forget how vulnerable he could be at times. If Steve Cunningham and Neven Pajkic can put him on his arse then Wilder and Joshua can too. Fury at his best I think is a little too awkward for them.

Problem with Fury is that I can’t see him motivating himself for a couple of warm up fights first.
If he goes straight in with a title fight then it will probably only be because he wants a last pay day and the fans end up with a disappointing fight

I could see how Fury if in shape could mess Joshua around then. Forearm in face when he get close etc.
Its his sheer size that gives him advantages. Footwork is quite fluid too I guess for a guy that size

If fury wins a warm up fight first, I could see a contest between him and AJ happening next year.
Eddie Hearn seems keen to make it happen and it would be a BIG event in the U.K.
I think it would be a good alternative if the AJ and Wilder camps can not agree terms.
Joshua would be able to add the linear title to his collection!

If he can face say, Charr in April. Defend against someone top 15 but not elite like Pulev, Bellew or Browne and then look for AJ and Wilder.

If he is in shape mentally an physically, not necessarily weight, but conditioning and mental state are most important then I believe he could win any or all of the titles. Joshua obviously the most difficult test but I think he could beat him. The question is who will he fight. Will it be difficult for him to get these fights, will people want too much money? He is a big draw and certainly a dangerous opponent for all of them even if hes not in the same shape as when he beat Wlad

No he won't. Parker will lose to AJ in his next fight which leaves AJ and Wilder and I do not think Fury is this multi-skilled maestro of the ring who we read about, even in this thread.

Big guy has some skills for sure and did in fact beat the "super" champion (what a garbage made-up shite adjective which means nothing. You are either a champion or you are not) but I do not think that borefest and his running around flapping his arms and confusing the shite out of that Ukraine robot (who just looked flummoxed and out of sorts totally that night) proves he is capable of the masterclasses that are suggested.

You know, even the sun shines on a dogs ass some days, meaning that sooner or later, everyone experiences some good luck and one performance, one night, has never before led so many boxing fans to go so overboard. History is littered with people who pulled out a great looking performance against a heavily favoured and respected guy but subsequent performances then suggesting that initial performance was flattered and more a case of the favoured guy hugely underperforming.

He may well go on to prove his worth and that it was a case of his great boxing skills and I will wait to see how the future pans out, I personally think the truth fits somewhere in the middle of that fight proving how good he is and it being an exceptional circumstance and the stars lining up

Is he coming back because of the dough on offer? Is he fully motivated and wants to regain what he never lost in the ring? Will the others face him? ( to be fair, the titles he held, he should be first in line for a shot at )

If he’s back to his very best then he stands a great chance.

Charr up first would be perfect. He’s beat him easily

Then after that? A great move would be to face Ortiz. Again, if Tyson is back to his best he beats him comfortably. That would be a statement considering plenty think Ortiz is avoided
