Jeff Lacy's Family
Jeff Lacy's Family
I work with Jeff Lacy's cousin. And she is a little Stunna. Early 20's, bit of a hipster, lovely girl.
When I saw her last name I said "There's a very good boxer from St Pete named Jeff who I was a big fan of".
That's my cousin, she said. Then she told me about his brother Hydra who killed a couple of cops after a domestic dispute.
Then I found out the dad, also named Hydra, was a heavyweight fighter back in the 70s who lost to James Scott (of Rahway Prison fame) in Scott's 2nd fight.
Scott also beat Bunny Johnson, Britain's first black champion.
Johnson fought a who's who of fighters in the 70s & 80s including the late great Phil Martin. I can't believe it's almost 25 years since Martin died.
Anyway, as you were.

James Scott was a victim of his own success as he climbed the light-heavyweight rankings until everyone got twitchy about allowing a prisoner to fight for - and potentially win - a world title. It could never happen. The authorities sat back and allowed Scott, who trained too hard and threw too many shots, to burn himself out. He lost to Jerry Martin and Dwight Braxton, both former cons.Taansend wrote: ↑12 Dec 2017, 23:38 I work with Jeff Lacy's cousin. And she is a little Stunna. Early 20's, bit of a hipster, lovely girl.

Phil Martin was robbed of the British light-heavyweight title against Tim Wood, dropping a terrible decision, and never recovered once Bunny Johnson beat him a fight later. Bunny then destroyed Wood inside a round and proved unbeatable as British champion. He had been our first black heavyweight champion before dropping down. Dick Turpin was our first black champion.

She got her own flat in another town. Still see each other but there has been a lot went on past two months. I’ve got my house up for sale and want to take a bit time out and try and solve a health issue I’ve got, Sleep Apnea. Only been few months diagnosed and am determined to solve it without using the CPAP mask. I’ve been getting by on less than four hours sleep for many years now and I’d like to change it lol.
