1) Who would have won if Fres Oquendo had have faced Michael Moorer in 2005?
2) And if Oquendo had faced Kirk Johnson in 2006?
Fres Oquendo vs...
Re: Fres Oquendo vs...
I'd have favored Fres in those two fights. They'd have both been fairly dull though.

Re: Fres Oquendo vs...
Oquendo would beat shot Moorer by UD, but in Kirk Johnson fight it would depend on the shape of Johnson. In-shape Kirk would be favoured to defet Fres, but I highly doubts he would be in good shape especially in 2006. So, Oquendo by UD here too.

Yep. I see it the same way. I don't know if Kirk Johnson would've been much of a threat by 2006 in shape or not. Did he ever bother to get in shape at any point in his career from then onward?Boxing Writer wrote: ↑14 Dec 2017, 14:18 Oquendo would beat shot Moorer by UD, but in Kirk Johnson fight it would depend on the shape of Johnson. Both Moorer and Johnson faced such poor opposition around those times you would have to favour Oquendo.
The real question is, however, will we see Fres Oquendo vs anyone ever again?

Re: Fres Oquendo vs...
I agree with you. Michael Moorer was scheduled in early 2005 to fight against Oquendo, but he cancelled the bout.
Kirk Johnson in 2006 was winning Mora but broke his knee and it was declared a no contest.
Some month later, Fres Oquendo easily defeated Mora.
Kirk Johnson was in his best of shape in 2000/2001, when he weighed 105 kg and defeated Oleg Maskaev and Larry Donald.
