Saunders will have to be at least in similar shape in this one as he was against Monroe Jr and he'll have to work a lot harder and be a lot more wary, Monroe Jr never pressed BJS but Lemieux will always be dangerous. stalking Saunders and trying to let off his fast hard combinations, Saunders really has to dance to 12 rounds and pick Lemieux off but Saunders always fades late on so at some point Lemieux will catch up with him and Saunders is gonna have to tough it out, I can see him having some torrid rounds late on, Lemieux is no slouch himself so wouldn't be surprised if he finds the target early

Saunders is a more clever fighter than Lemieux and if he's switched on he can deal with him, its just whether Saunders can ride out the storm when his legs tire and Lemieux closes him down

I can see this going right to the wire, maybe even a SD or a draw, a fight of 2 halves, might just edge towards the skills of Saunders

Coverage starts at 2am on BTSports2.
Ric Flairs 30 for 30 is on just before it from 12.30am, if anyone hasn't seen it...
That's good news. I finish work at 9pm (Eastern U.S.) so should be able to see the main event.
The fight should start at 11 : 15 pm, Montreal Time.

So, figure it with the time zone.

I’ve got money on Lemieux KO.

Saunders always finds a way to make fights closer than they should be.

If N’Dam can outbox Lem then BJS will do easily.
He will do it so easily that he will switch off and let Lem land a Hail Mary punch around 6-8.

I don't know, Saunders looks as focused and switched on as I've ever seen him.
I think he outboxes Lemieux easily and coasts to a wide points decision...

For me switching off is in his Boxing DNA. Especially if it’s come easy.
He needs to stay focused for 12 Round. Lem needs to only get lucky once.

Eubank cracked him with an uppercut that stiffened him right up late in their bout. Ryder put him under lots of pressure too. He's not been in with anyone of Lemiuexs power tho.

Back in February 1983, promoter F rank Warren took Londoner Roy Gumbs to the wilds of Canada to challenge for the vacant Commonwealth middleweight title against the rugged Ralph Hollett. Gumbs was a talented, hard-hitting fighter but Hollett could whack himself and had established himself as the best middleweight in Canada with stoppage wins over the murderous Eddie Melo, the insanely brave Fernard Marcotte and the much fancied Chris Clarke. He was on a long winning streak.
Warren did something he had never done before (or since): he went in the corner (with his brother, Robert) and watched Gumbs climb off the canvas to force a sensational fifth-round stoppage against the run of play. Hollett demanded a rematch. They met two months later in Canada and this time Hollett was never in it as Gumbs hammered him in four rounds.
Tonight Warren makes the journey again with unbeaten middleweight Billy Joe Saunders, who defends his WBO title against Canadian puncher David Lemieux in a difficult-looking assignment. Lemieux is a big left-hooker who has mixed in top class and many in the know make him the clear winner; others plump for Billy Joe's better boxing skills and the sense that he will really sparkle after a few 'iffy' displays in recent years, so this one is 'pick 'em'. Will Saunders prove to be all fighter? The dilemma with unbeaten fighters is that we don't know how good, or not so good, they actually prove to be until they encounter their first real test. That test has arrived for Billy Joe, and it's a mouthwatering prospect.

i think lee may be around lemieuxs level but lemieuxs style should have saunders under much more pressure. unlikely we see another feint fest.lee boxes like hes really cautious of being hit.
