Campbell Mendy Rematch

I know we've discussed this before but Mendy fights the decent Jesus Arevelo on Thursday for a WBC bauble.

He's only lost one of his last 15 bouts & seems to be one of those fighters that improves with age.

Campbell is coming off a career best defeat (if that makes sense), ok I mean performance, so I think this would be an ideal opportunity for a rematch. Eddie might want an easier fight as Luke is probably high in the rankings but from a fans point of view it makes sense from both fighters.

Mendy won by ko to keep his WBC Silver title.

Linares is the WBC Diamond Champion, whatever that is.

Garcia is the WBC Champion but he's moved up to LW.

Javier Fortuna is No. 1 contender but is he at 130 or 135.

That leaves Mendy at 2 & Campbell at 3.

Eddie, get on the blower, mate. Make it happen.

I think Luke learned a lot from the Linares fight. I thought it was too soon, but in all fairness Campbell did OK. Having that experience and in the back of his mind that he can't lose another on the trot, I expect him to deal to Mendy if it happens.
