Should loma stay or move up?
Re: Should loma stay or move up?
Vasyl is very ambitious, he see's a belt around someone at a higher weight there's a good chance he'd take a run at it.

Leo Santa Cruz won't fight Lomachenko... Never has ... Never willpunchoutsb wrote: ↑10 Dec 2017, 23:09
I know I'm in the extreme minority but I'd like to see him fight LSC! Two of my favorites, so that's my selfish reason.
Santa isn't coming to town.... He also refuses to fight Gary Russell who would knock him cold.

The man crush you have with Loma is getting sickening.Jip wrote: ↑10 Dec 2017, 10:59 The version at super featherweight looks like a goat. This is a big reason why i would like him to stay clean out the division. Leo might come up. There is berchelt and machado.
Maybe he would be even stronger 1-2 divisions above who knows. Big problem i have is we dont know if he becomes slower worser by moving up and second lightweight and super lightweight have 0 elite boxer. Linares is okay. Nothing special. Davis might end up in jail for 20 years and mikey is overrated to me.
Stay the prime goat like version he is right now, clean out the division and in 2-3 years move up to welterweight and have history fights with spence & crawford.

Loma should fight Mikey Garcia at 135-140. He and Garcia are both 5'6" and much closer in size than Rigo and Loma are.
Loma has a shot vs Garcia, but I give Mikey a 60% shot to win.

With that "no-maschenko" comment, and the comment about turning down fights against top fighters because they'd be "too easy" I'd say he has to move up, I think he just about has the size to do so

Re: Should loma stay or move up?
Loma should work his way up to 140 to face Garcia, who represents the most legit obstacle to Loma's rise. A fight at 135 and a tuneup at 140 before he faces Mikey for the title Garcia will win from Lipinets.
Nobody at 135 reps a legit challenge to Loma so the Garcia fight is a natural. If Rigo can move up 2 divisions, no reason Loma cannot do the same.

Re: Should loma stay or move up?
rigo moved 2 from 122 to 130 for 8 pounds. loma has moved 1 from 126 to 130. moving a 2nd would be 135 which is up 9 pounds from where he started.140 would be another 5 pounds on top of that.fights vs ppl like linares at 135 r interesting. ppl go on about rigo being small so lets see loma vs a good 135er or a berchelt before acting like only mikey exists.

You can't fight somebody who pretends that you don't exist. No way Mayweather sacrifices Davis.RandomUsername wrote: ↑15 Dec 2017, 05:14 Lomachenko I applaud him for taking on Rigondoeux and giving him that payday that he deserves, it was however just a gift. Loma gave Rigo a payday and Rigo gave Loma his 0, it wasnt a serious boxing event. I want to see Loma fight Gervonta Davis, that would be a real fight and I'd acctually tune in for that one.
Re: Should loma stay or move up?
Right... Mayweather and Davis simply pretend there's no Lomachenko in their division... Just like Ali pretended Larry Holmes didn't exist when Leon Spinks was his main focus of attention.
The North American Boxing Establishment DID NOT want Rigondeaux to fight Lomachenko...
They didn't want Loma to gain any further prestige and get to obvious #1 P4P... They threatened to strip Rigondeaux of his World Title if he fought Lomachenko and DID strip him... Have you ever seen that before when a guy moves up and loses to a bigger guy that he gets stripped of his existing Title??? ... That didn't happen to Kell Brook when he lost to GGG
Watch Rigondeaux get fights now... Gary Russell would fight him and that's about it... They'll try to can that one.

Re: Should loma stay or move up?
Unless he's fighting Linares or Mikey Garcia immediately upon rising I'd rather see him clean out the 130 pound weight class first. At the very least I'd like to see him fight Berchelt.
Re: Should loma stay or move up?
Rigondeaux never got big fights prior to fighting Loma other than Donaire. So nothing will have changed if he goes back to not getting big fights.Kalan wrote: ↑15 Dec 2017, 13:27 Right... You realize Lomachenko is promoted by an American Promoter right? One of the biggest America has in Top Rank. North American Boxing is not trying to screw over Loma. If they were he'd be fighting all his fights in Europe. He's fighting them all in the U.S. because he's a bonafide attraction here.

Kalan is fornicating nuts. I'm wondering if its cus d'amato is posting from the other side.
These ridiculous conspiracy theories.

Re: Should loma stay or move up?
You're nuts... Lomachenko couldn't get ANY top Featherweights to fight him after he beat Russell for the Title...
He can't get the top 130 pounders and Rigondeaux was stripped of his Title for fighting Lomachenko... It took Loma a year to get Nicholas Walters into a ring... Now Gary Russell can't get any top opponents cuz that would make Loma look good.
Let's see if Nicholas Walters can get any big fights now... He looked like money in the bank versus Nonito Donaire and only has a single loss on his record... But let's see how many good fights he gets going forward... Duran quit right in the middle of a round and still got plenty of big fights - so it's not that Nic's like the last 4 guys Loma fought and quit.

Re: Should loma stay or move up?
Rigondeaux doesn't get big fights because he's a Cuban... They get shat on like Eastern Europeans... After Rigo beat Donaire which you figured that would make him really big -- he got NOTHING!!! Loma was the only fight he COULD get.gilgamesh wrote: ↑15 Dec 2017, 13:34 Rigondeaux never got big fights prior to fighting Loma other than Donaire. Lomachenko has a really exciting and entertaining style, even though he gets hit very little... He figures to be a fan favorite... But look how hard the American Boxing Establishment is working to knock his win down and discredit it... "Loma's fighting a little guy who jumped 2 weight classes. sob... sob... sob.." ... WHO ELSE WANTED TO FIGHT HIM??? NOBODY!!
I don't care who's promoting Lomachenko... They're not getting him big fights... Funny how the Mikey Garcia fight went away... Mikey picked Rigo to win and didn't compliment Loma.... He has a bigger body and escaped to 140.

Re: Should loma stay or move up?
If you think somebody is trying to keep Loma down or keep him away from the big fights you're blind. He's being pushed to the moon, and the TV networks don't have enough complimentary things to say about him.Kalan wrote: ↑15 Dec 2017, 16:03Rigondeaux doesn't get big fights because he's a Cuban...
