who would dubois already beat?

Post by jamamb »

graham houston tweeted that he might pick dubois over povetkin now (he also was high on aj early and was right about that) and it got me thinking. what level is dubois at now in your opinion ability wise.

not how you think he should be moved, but what is the highest level you think he could win at now. like, could he beat parkers or hughies or charrs or povetkins etc.

I'd take him to beat all our domestic guys right now. Whyte, Del Boy etc....

Really? I'm not saying he's crap or anything but he's just fought bodies so far. Both Whyte & Chisora have whiskers. How is Dubois going to react when they're still pressing him after the 5th round?

He can obviously punch but he's had less than 13 minutes of action in total.

I'd love for him to be some Tysonesque KO artist but it's still too early to tell.

Great post. Fair assessment. He looks like a sure fire future champion. But too early to tell

David Price. :maybe:

I think he could blast through most of the british title contenders but someone half decent with a bit of experience would do a job on him.

Dubois has plenty of time to learn :)

I think he can beat everyone at domestic level.

I can't stand the likes of Whyte, but I think that would be closer than most imagine. Dubois looks skilled enough to see it over the line.

Chisora I'd have a little more concern about. If the Chisora that turned up half-arsed in Monaco enters the ring, Dubois will do him early. If Delboy is motivated though ala the Whyte fight, I think he could beat Dubois. Dubois still a little green, and Chisora could (if he was up for it) take DD into deep waters.

Rest of the UK / British level fighters I think he does no problem. Even Gorman, Allen, Cornish etc.

Boxrec have him 102 in the world. I'd like to see him in with some C-level word level fighters soon. Just to gauge where he's at, get a name on the record.

The next overhyped British bum.

He won't progress further than Dillian Whyte.

Whyte is doing well.for himself. Great rankings, in big cards, lots of solid wins and is very well known. I also say he has a nice bank account

Dubois is so open when he throws the right hand. He's a highlight reel KO waiting to happen

Bum is a bit harsh. But saying he'd already beat guys like Povetkin is a joke.

He's nothing special. Like I said his limit is Dillian Whyte gatekeeper. A respectable level to reach but not really warranting the hype and fuss he's getting.

I don't get why he's getting hyped at all.

Gorman is a much better prospect and someone who could win the world title. Only thing going against him is his height. Could 6'2 Gorman cope with fighters pushing 6'6, 6'7, 6'8 etc?

Charr holds a stupid version of the WBA.
Dubois probably bangs him out.

I doubt I'd throw him in against any of the bigger names just yet, but it won't take long. This isn't a particularly deep Heavyweight division so he should be knocking on the Top 30 or Top 25 at least within about 2 or 3 more fights.

Beat Povetkin now?!?! Come one... unlikely at this early stage. 2 years - maybe if his chin holds up
