The most boring fight Floyd has ever been in is still 5 times better than Wlad vs Fury.
no arguments there , it weren't a classic, but he did a job perfectly
some of ali fights weren't great , just soaking up shots for 10 rounds on the ropes
The worst Ali fight there ever was is still 10 times better than Fury vs Wlad.

no arguments there , wont defend the fight , but he went to Germany to win ,wlad couldn't land a glove and he returned the champion of the world

Of course he couldn't land a glove. He didn't throw punches.

There was a time when Fury had his arms out by his side. Wide open as wide open gets, and Wlad just stared at him. I don't know if he was sick that night or what, but he didn't even attempt to win the fight. It was a disgrace.

I call Walters and Rigondeaux 2 guys that were thoroughly outboxed, and decided to quit rather than get knocked out or beaten into a stupor.

Definitely not the most courageous way to end a fight, but at least they were in a fight.

I ain't saying it was a bad decision with Wlad and Fury. Fury deserved the decision. It was just a garbage contest. It wasn't a fight. Wlad did absolutely nothing. Fury barely did anything. Barely doing anything was enough to win that night.

Any other Heavyweight Champion would've actually put up a fight, and attempted to keep their title. Why Wlad fought like he did I'll never understand. Apparently he knew how shameful it was which is why he fought uncharacteristically brave against Joshua in an attempt to make up for it.

Why the hell would he have done that? He barely got hit in the fight even while doing nothing. More punches landed on Walters or Rigondeaux in 2 rounds than Wlad and Fury landed combined over 12 rounds.

I watched the fight. You're not gonna convince that Fury did something he didn't do. Wlad just stared at him. He may well have been scared, but it ain't because Fury was giving him reason to be. He might've been scared at staring at one of the few people that was bigger than him than he'd ever boxed or something, I don't know.

At any rate, if you're waiting for me to say something complimentary about Tyson Fury you'll be waiting a long time. I have very little respect for him as a man or as a fighter, and the only reason I anticipate his comeback is because I want to see him knocked out, and swept into the trash bin of history where he belongs.

I often wonder what the problem was with Wlad that night , maybe it was such a masterful performance from Fury .

I happen to think there was something drastically wrong .

I suppose the good thing is he didn't bleat about it making excuses like some would have done .

Yeah. That's one of the few admirable things about it all.

fightfan95 wrote: 13 Dec 2017, 04:49 Do you think Tyson will come back in 2018 and win a world title? There's talks of him fighting Bellew, which wouldn't be for a world title. Also big talk of him fighting Joshua for the IBF, WBA titles.

I reckon he should go for the WBA regular and fight Charr - would be a good name and a title in his first or second fight back and then dance with Joshua.

Does he beat AJ next year? (IBF & WBA)
Does he beat Parker? (WBO)
Does he beat Wilder? (WBC)
Does he beat Charr? (WBA Regular)
If he is seriously considering fighting Bellew, then he's clearly not serious about boxing, so I'd say no.

If he decides to start taking the sport seriously, he's a long way from getting back into proper shape & as we all know, most 'world champions' are part-time these days & fight a maximum of twice a year, so he wouldn't realistically be in the running for a shot until 2019.

I actually disagree with that. He needs to get fights under his belt and build his profile up and Bellew can do both of those.

I think we need to accept that over two years out plus allowing himself to get into absolutely desperate shape means Fury is going to have to come back very slowly. Woodhall was saying last night that talk of a Joshua fight needs to be made in the context of it being two years away.

id give bellew a realistic chance vs guys like charr (knocked sensless by a cw already) or even parker tbh. the hw division lacks talent outside the top 5 or so and simply being a solid cw can take u far. bellew prob a top 25 hw and not a laughabke come back foe.

Lots of mention in the build to the rematch & AJ fights was that his head was all over the place as his wife was suffering from post natal depression at home.

Now that is a very big reason to why he might not have been in the right frame.
