Fury will be ready for his next bout by April. He's already lost 38% of his excess weight.

That's the thing about Tyson. Training will always be a chore for him, he needs a tangible reason to do it. Now he's got his license and his mojo back, it shouldn't be too long. Tyson never had the chiselled physique and I wouldn't be at all surprised if he could beat at least a couple of fighters in the top ten if they fought tomorrow.

Even if you hate the bloke surely you'd have to concede the division is more interesting with him around than not?

Getting a license back doesn't cure years of therapy that this guy needs. Boxing Commission only cares about what kind of money a guy can bring in and not the mental stability of the boxer. This guy is not right in the squash.

Shades of Oliver McCall?

He really needs to get back into mental shape. He can sell tickets but his last outing really put fight fans off. He will get back and hopefully he can keep himself body and mind healthy.

I doubt there'll ever be a time when he's not overweight again. Even when he returns to the ring.

He probably never was Caldo but it didn't stop him beating Klitschko and winning the titles.

I'd have higher hopes for him achieving success in the ring after extensive training than I would for him achieving mental stability after extensive therapy.

I’m definitely not rooting against it because I think that Fury adds color to the sport. I just have a feeling that we’re all going to be a witness to what will be a very sad and tragic story in the end.

I really do hope you're wrong. I think Fury's problems are kept in check by his having a purpose, a goal to aim at. He needs to continually move the goalposts because apart from the business with UKAD, I feel his problems really hit home once he had achieved his only goal of beating Klitschko and winning the world titles. If his ambitions went much further like AJ's he may have kept depression away.

Now I believe he's fuelled by the sense of injustice that this weight-lifter, this bloody upstart media darling, is sat on the titles he never lost and is enjoying the adulation of the UK public which should rightfully be his.

He needs to get in shape and keep his nose clean (especially of the white stuff) and I think he will be ok until he hangs up his gloves.

Tyson Fury has copied his mate Saunders and got himself a new trainer. He is no longer being trained by his uncle.

His physical appearance ringside at the Saunders-Lemieux bout was drastically better than how he appeared several months ago.

It was stated that he has already lost 50lbs.

True. That was me incorrectly stating that he had his license back, sorry for that. It should hopefully be a formality though then it's a couple of fights to ease his way back in, then he'll be looking for a title or two.

Frânk Warrën stated his intention last night to arrange for three fights for Tyson Fury in quick succession (over a four month period) starting from April.

The calibre of opposition he'll allegedly be facing won't be great, but the sole objective of these "easy" fights is to improve his fitness levels, lose the weight, ridding Tyson of his ring rust and also build his confidence levels.

In stark contrast, Eddie Hearn is trying to negotiate a deal with MTK Global to gain the promotional rights of Tyson Fury.

He's already proposed a three-fight package that will see the "Gypsy King" face Tony Bellew (if he wins his rematch against David Haye), Dillian Whyte and finally culminating in a bout against Anthony Joshua.

Fight fans would inevitably prefer the career path proposed by Eddie Hearn, but I feel that Frânk Warrën's preference is probably the best and most advisable route for Tyson Fury, since he needs to rebuild himself rather than risk tasting defeat against an inferior opponent, simply due to rushing his comeback too fast.

2 years before he fights for a belt. If he makes it....

2018 is critical for him. But, I wouldn’t wager him being beaten in that year because he’s out of shape.
