If that interview is anything to go by it looks possible Andre Ward could return.

well financially and legacy wise hes in a position where hes earned and can afford that, unlike a lot if guys who sit around.personally i wouldnt want him around, unless he goes to cw, simply because i think hed beat everyone else at 175 and that would deflate what looks to be a lot of good potential matches at the a/a- /b+ level (wards a+)

If Andre comes back there will be long layoffs.
He wants to cement his credibility with one offs every year or two.

well hes got an awesome record and rock solid hof legacy as it is, though beating lhws like adonis, beterbiev, etc would add some longevity at the weight, which would help with the legacy i suppose

No, he doesn't like fighting anymore. Not since at least after Dawson.

I will be very surprised if he fights with Kovalev for the third time. Nobody wan'ts to see that fight and Ward is happy that he got away with two official wins.

I'm sure he'll bide his time and do an RJJ and get a heavyweight fight in and go again. He just needs one of the smaller Heavies to fight. If somehow Parker can beat AJ then he can jump in at that point as I feel he can avoid his bombs and make him look average - actually Parker does a great job of that himself :TU:

Are you saying that Ward could win a wrestling match against 245 lbs Parker?

Had that first decision gone to Kovalev, I'm sure they'd manage to pull a third fight together. But as is, I doubt it a lot.

There wasn't a rematch clause in place for the second fight. Assuming Kov won, maybe a fight down the line. Who knows.

Are you saying that Parker's balls are less sensitive than Kovalev's ?

I don't see Wards style working too well against opponent who is much bigger and stronger than himself. He would get the taste of hes own medicine and bullied into submission

- Easy for me to say, the only guys Son of Glue was willing to fight straight up using standard boxing rules of engagement were the Grade B and C fighters.

All the Grade A fighters required 100% rules violations using just about every dirty trick banned by boxing along with an assist by his personal ref who kept the Grade A opposition in handcuffs. Guy's not only a grade A sissy, but a triple AAA rated Stinker, completely stinking out the super six as well as a boring idiot in and out of the ring. Maybe the most telling fight showing his limitations was throwing his complete arsenal at hapless post surgical Allan Green missing 7/8ths of his bowels without once putting Green in trouble, but once Ol' Man Glen Johnson weight drained for that tourney whacked Green a good one, BOOM, he was out.

Hear his Imelda Marcos shoe collection is real spiffy though and good for a guffaw or two.

They are both good in different ways, but have never been close to p4p #1 to say nothing of ATG.

Kovalev didn't wobble or drop.... Sergei took one really good shot like he did in the 1st Pascal fight... The only guy who hit the canvas in the Ward fights was Ward.... I notice the referee didn't call a quick halt to the fight when that happened... But the guy he desperately wants to lose bends over from a egregious low blow and that tells the referee to call a halt to the fight and award it to the fouler??? .... FO Tony Weeks, you corrupt bastard.
