Its a joke really.

Frankie should have at least been a belt holder at 140 with the skill he has.

I think he could have fought his career at 135 if he had Froch level discipline. He'd probably have taken home a gold medal too. Then been too good for Crolla and Burns. Pretty much guaranteed to hold one of the major straps for a few years if he'd had the discipline.

Meh, everyone that’s in the game or has a reasonable level of interest knows the score.
HOWEVER, the vast, VAST majority of boxers would be very pleased to be able to say ‘I was IBO world champion ‘.

It's def worth something, both as an achievement and as a money maker, it's a step forward.

At least he has lost weight between the 2 pics

Winning the British title outright is much better than beating a guy who lost to Vassel years ago and also recently lost to that Shikakatu, who Gavin beat a while back.

couple of decent fights added to this card for silly IBO titles (be better for Midlands straps) but still good fights

Craig Cunningham v Andrew Robinson and Craig Morris v Andy Keates. Think I'll go now.

Fair play to BCB putting on an arena show (their first) with no TV, loads of local lads on (and a few local derbies too) so hoping tickets do really well.

Gavin has sprained ligaments

http://www.worldboxingnews.net/2018/01/ ... ht-delayed

Frankie Gavin's IBO Welterweight World title fight with Bethuel Ushona has been pushed back a month after the Birmingham pugilist suffered an ankle injury in training.

The fight against the Namibian for the vacant title, which was due to be staged at the Genting Arena in Birmingham on Friday February 23, will now be rescheduled to Saturday March 24.
