Date Search

Post by skrest »

Why the change in the way Date Search results are shown? Previously, we could see all fights that took place on that day. Now, we can see the venues, but need to click, one at a time, to view the fights on each card?

Is there any way you could change it back? It makes it much easier to browse through history, especially if there are mutliple cards on the same date & I don't remember where Friday Night Fights (or some other telecast) took place that weekend in 2003.

Thanks
Shawn

Although I am not in command of changing things on this site, I do know why the "Date Search" change was made. BoxRec recently became the Number One boxing site on the Internet. All this traffic has produced a strain on the relatively new servers. It was getting so unwieldy that the Master of This Domain took out the bouts to reduce the strain. Pages now load much faster and make this site easier to use.

You switched it back! Thank you very much. Having the fights available when I do date search is very convenient and I appreciate listening to the users' concerns.
That's why you're the number one boxing site on the Internet :D

is that possible now to put back the title that the boxers are batteling for ??? Just like it was before. It's a lot easier to find out what title is on the line for a particular day !!!

I think the way it is now is a compromise--again, to lessen the load on the server.
