I haven't been discussing Al Haymon , I have been commenting on a couple of threads posted about Kovalev and Stevenson.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑19 Dec 2017, 15:49I'm pointing out real-world facts though, but you're more motivated to "hate" for the sake of "hating", even if your claims conflict with reality.victor-romeo wrote: ↑19 Dec 2017, 15:23 If you can't see that Adonis is not in Kovalev's league, then so be it...
I'll give you another example, if you'd followed GBP's miserably-failed Ali Act lawsuit they filed against Al Haymon, it was proven in court that HBO's affiliated promoters actively refrained from working with Haymon's fighters, unless mega-bucks was involved.
In fact, it was one of the reasons Oscar De la Hoya's lawsuit was dismissed so quickly, which also prevented him from appealing.
If you don't believe me, Google it.
It's your prerogative to hate Al Haymon, if that's what you feel compelled to do, but don't ignore real-world facts and also apply your derogatory opinions in a consistent manner (i.e. you cannot make Haymon your sole target of your hatred whilst ignoring either the same or more severe actions committed by fighters and promoters from "the other side of the street").
Simply put: don't be hypocritical; don't ignore facts; and don't apply double-standards!
Al Haymon ... What do you think of him ?

I explained how Al Haymon was willing to make the fight between Stevenson and Kovalev, but you refuse to acknowledge this fact.
I also explained how it was proven in court that HBO and their affiliated promoters, such as GBP, actively refrained from working with Al Haymon.
If you'd taken my advice and Googled both situations, you would surely realise the implications they had in relation to making the Stevenson-Kovalev fight.
Look at your own comments expressed in this thread and try to understand my response.
Educate yourself on this subject matter and my words won't confuse you... and you will also realise the reason why you were wrong!

"Haymon was willing to make Stevenson vs Kovalev" is as close to truth as "Haymon wanted to make Stevenson vs Kovalev in Siberia". Haymon knew that Kovalev wouldn't fight on Showtime the same way as he knew that Stevenson wouldn't fight in Siberia.

Re: Al Haymon ... What do you think of him ?
Kathy Duva lobbied the WBC to install Sergey Kovalev as Adonis Stevenson's mandatory challenger when the Russian's contract with HBO had ran out, which they did immediately.boxing_rocks wrote: ↑19 Dec 2017, 17:16 "Haymon was willing to make Stevenson vs Kovalev" is as close to truth as "Haymon wanted to make Stevenson vs Kovalev in Siberia". The WBC requested a purse bid, but Kathy Duva demanded an extension, because she thought the proposed timescale was unrealistic. So the WBC extended the purse bid deadline to fit her requirements.
Adonis Stevenson, GYM and Al Haymon all agreed to participate in the WBC's purse bid, even if it meant having to have the fight televised by HBO if they lost the bid.
Sergey Kovalev and his team then withdrew from the WBC's purse bid.
Shortly after declining a guaranteed opportunity to face Adonis Stevenson, Sergey Kovalev resigned with HBO.
I keep posting articles, videos, interview transcripts of all this shit but people like to pretend that these real-world facts don't exist.
Al Haymon is getting blamed for things that other people chose to do, simply because they flatly-refuse to fact check,

Why do you think people are ignoring your "facts"? Because you consider everything anybody says a fact and can't distinguish real intentions from pretense.

Does Sergey Kovalev mean so much to you personally that you impulsively feel compelled to ignore any elements of reality that don't concur with your derogatory opinion?
Do you prefer to accuse Haymon and Stevenson of committing infractions that you cannot prove, even if your thoughts are the polar opposite of the information conveyed by the facts?

Duva is an idiot who was hoping to talk Stevenson into fighting on HBO which was a reason she was trying to delay the purse bid.

I don’t think of him. I think about the fights that are made. I appreciate what we get, and the sacrifices of the athletes who make it possible.

Re: Al Haymon ... What do you think of him ?
Stevenson was willing to fight on HBO, but Kathy Duva never attempted to test his resolve by participating in the WBC's purse bid that Adonis had already committed himself to... and the onus is on her, due to her penchant to decline the Stevenson fight on Kovalev's behalf.boxing_rocks wrote: ↑19 Dec 2017, 19:53 Duva is an idiot who was hoping to talk Stevenson into fighting on HBO which was a reason she was trying to delay the purse bid.

Their records speak for themselves in the 4 years from 2015-2017 Kovalev has fought 7 times twice against the p4p #1 fighter and Stevenson's toughest opponent Fonfara?
It is true that Stevenson has not been very active in the last 3 years (2015 to 2017 is 3 years btw), is it Haymon's fault?
However if you look at 2013 and 2014, they have similar records.
If Adonis fights Badou Jack and the winner of Alvarez-Gvozdyk in 2018, I'll be happy. But Stevenson vs Kovalev in 2018 would be even better :)

Re: Al Haymon ... What do you think of him ?
Al Haymon has hundreds of fighters that he advises/manages, but it seems the sole reason why he’s hated is because of Adonis Stevenson! FFS! How fúckíng stupid can people be?

Whenever a discussion about Al Haymon takes place on this forum, it seems that all conversational “roads” eventually lead to Adonis Stevenson!

Total Bullcrap!! ... Serious offers were made to get Chickenson into a ring with Kovalev... Nothing but sham offers came back... Chickenson fought on the same bill as Kovalev several years ago and they were supposed to fight... Chickenon fled to Showtime and has been fighting 3rd rate opponents for Chickenfeed ever since.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑19 Dec 2017, 15:00To be fair, Haymon and GYM tried to orchestrate a bout between Stevenson and Kovalev, but Krusher declined the opportunity to take the boutRicky_ wrote: ↑19 Dec 2017, 12:05
Irrelevant. That's like saying he gives to charity. I couldn't care less, he destroys divisional competition. A guy like Adonis Stevenson could have had big fights that fans wanted to see. Fck Al Haymon i hope he goes bankrupt and never manages/promotes another fighter again.

What I've claimed is factually correct and I have even submitted videos of Kathy Duva conceding this fact.Kalan wrote: ↑21 Dec 2017, 03:31Total Bullcrap!! ... It gets worse than that, even some of Kovalev's most ardent admirers that frequent this forum admit to this cold hard objective truth of reality.
Do you really want to attempt to argue with me about this point? Please, please, please do!
I'll try and give you some valuable advice, considering you're my buddy, do some fact checking before attempting to disprove my claim, because I'll almost certainly make you appear to be an utterly ignorant so-and-so!
All I need to do is copy/paste the content of my previous arguments about this matter, what can you possibly do, get a time machine and attempt to alter the course of history?
