How the hell can you duck a fighter to fight someone more dangerous like GGG? Stupid thread and the OP should be banned for his stupidity.
Styles make fights. BJS is a pure boxer whose movement will give Canelo fits. Canelo knows this.
Yep, Canelo would be fighting bigger, meaner, harder hitting version of Lara who made Canelo look like a clueless puppy.
Bigger, yes, meaner and harder hitting? Nope. Lara is/was more talented than Saunders is imo.
Saunders is a talented fighter, always has been, but his performance against Lemieux is starting to become overhyped. I was just pleased he finally showed what he was capable of! I had given up on him fulfilling all that potential he had as a youngster.

Clueless? The majority thought Canelo beat Lara.
Majority? Do you have your own eyes?
That's your comeback? Huh, you know you were destroyed when that's the only rebuttal you have. Learn to score fights.
34 Scored for Canelo – 39 per cent
30 Scored for Lara – 33 per cent
25 Scored a Draw – 28 per cent
The only reasons Lara didn't win:
- a corrupt judge giving 117-111 to Canelo
- Lara refusing to take ANY risk to land a few harder punches
Canelo did look like a clueless puppy in that fight. Lara was toying with him the same way Saunders was toying with Lemieux. Almost all power punches counted by Compubox as landed by Canelo actually landed on elbows.

You took a small sample. I've seen polls on boxing forums. Most had Canelo winning. Also, the majority of people scoring it a draw completely destroys your argument that Canelo looked clueless.
You really, really need to learn how to score fights.

You are the one who can't score. Lara outlanded Canelo, was better in ring generalship, had way better defense, and Canelo's aggression was inefective.
We all know that Canelo is favored by Vegas judges, and if he got a split decision win, then the best he did was a draw. Your username shows why you scored the fight for Canelo.
Canelo did far better than Lemieux did. Lara ran far more than Saunders did. Close fight. Canelo was effective to the body. Lara waseffective literally running away and landing a few, (very few) precise punches in rounds. People hate Canelo that much that they would applaud how Lara fought that night.

Yes, Canelo is a better boxer than Lemieux, and Lara was too cautious which made the fight close. However, I disagree about Canelo's effectiveness to the body. Almost all his shots landed on elbows. They had zero effect on Lara failing to slow him down.

He slowed down, his punches weakened and he ran more. Canelo slowed down due to his own stamina and effort. Still a close fight. Not like the one sided one we watched the other day.
