Does anyone know why World light heavyweight title recognition has been withdrawn from underneath the Harold Johnson vs Doug Jones bout? The corresponding Wiki acknowledges it was indeed a title fight, but browsing the overall record there is no indication.

Ernie Terrell vs Doug Jones still has its WBA heavyweight title tag, but Johnson/Jones... nothing!

It has been corrected. There was still a comment underneath saying 'world light heavyweight title' but it has now been specified, so it shows up in the lineage.

I believe the world light heavyweight title becomes vacant if the champion wins a US senate seat.

I noticed that the 'recent deaths' list states that Doug Jones died on 14th November. I have been unable to find any information about it on the internet.
Does anyone have any details about this?

I too would be interested in the source of Doug Jones' death. Why is this sad news so obscure? His fight with Cassius Clay must be the prettiest, most rhythmic, hypnotic encounter in the heavyweight canon. This great man should be accorded some respect!
