Fighter of the Year: Sor Rungvisai

Fight of the Year: AJ vs Wlad (though I must admit I enjoyed the sh*t out of Molina vs Redkach a few weeks back)

Young Fighter of the Year: :maybe: David Benavidez maybe?

Pound for Pound Breakthrough: Only one guy really fits this category. Sor Rungvisai. There wasn't really a shakeup to the P4P this year other than that.

I don't ever bother to keep up with Trainer of the Year and all that, and there's no real standout for KO of the Year although Hugo Centeno's KO of Aleem still stands out as one of the most brutal I saw. Mikey Garcia's over Dejan Zlaticanin, and Jermell Charlo's KO of Erickson Lubin were brutal as sh*t too.

You could argue that Wlad was comeback of the year. Even though he lost to Joshua, I'd say the exciting nature of the fight went a long way in redeeming his reputation and allowed him to retire on a high note.

Toss up between Estrada vs. Cuadras and AJ vs. Wlad

Trainer of the Year

Abel Sanchez

Pound for Pound Breakthrough

Srisaket Sor Rungvisai

Young Fighter of the Year (23 under)

Even though he lost, It's Wlad. Gave himself a good fight and went out on a high.

World title prospect of 2018

If you don't consider the IBO as legit, then it's Eubank Jr..

Josh Warrington or Nicola Adams

Fighter is Srisaket, HOWEVER Melindo is worth a shout if he beats Taguchi

Fight for me was Gonzalez vs Srisaket 1

Trainer is Shingo Inoue

Young Fighter is Daigo Higa for me, and that's despite cheer leading him since he was about 4-0

Young Fighter of the Year (23 under) Povetkin @ age 22

Pound for pound breakthrough Povetkin

Stoppage of 2017 Povetkin

Trainer of the Year Povetkin's trainer

Comeback of 2017 Povetkin's 7th return from drug suspension. Not the 6th, that was close, but the 7th.

World title prospect of 2018 Povetkin's kid UGGalolli Povetkin. He's 6mos but he's going to be good.
