Terence Crawford 177 pounds?

Post by TheLeprechaun »

He could be at 157 and holding some weights for the pic, who knows. Lull his opponents into thinking hes not living the life? If not then 177 is Frankie Gavin tier dedication levels. Surely that will catch up with Crawford

Hasn't fought in a while. Training camp will take care of most of that.

Those socks he's wearing are made of thick, heavy, wool. They must be about ten pounds per sock.

One of the oldest tricks in the book.

My favourite overseas fighter. He's overtaken GGG and Kovalev. Bit disappointed in his opposition recently but at 147 there's some cracking fights. I think he'll be even better at 147. I like Soence but I think Crawford is the better operator of the two. Spence is the naturally bigger guy so that's thee fight I'd like to see in 2018 if I had to pick only one!

Bloody hell, Stu, he just knocked out the undefeated Indongo to become undisputed Champ. You're a harsh taskmaster :D

On a serious note though I reckon a few at 147 might avoid him. He's not known outside of boxing & is only a ticket seller in Nebraska. You're not going to earn a good purse against him until his name recognition goes up.

I think he should fight Thurman in St Petersburg :OhYes:

I was excited to see Burns run at world level. I've boxed on the same card as him as young amatuers. Let's get it real though! Burns had a great run but he's not a top level fighter and neither is Indongo! Most proper fans who watched the Crawford Indongo scrap would've thought 'go to the torso Terence'.... He boxed his head off then finished him without breaking sweat man!!

He is beloved in Nebraska, but his achievements this year makes me think he does well in Vegas next year as long as the opponent brings something. Spence would. People will travel to Vegas for that fight.

I don't think we will see Loma move up that far but it would be good to see how he would do against Crawford. Crawford fought Burns at 135 a few years ago. I'm pretty sure Spence would walk through Loma though.

Not a big deal. Probably standard practice for a lot of guys that size.

Disappointing career so far. Beat some good and very good fighters. But I have very little interest in him. Fights with Spence, Thurman or Porter would be great. Peterson and Garcia would not really do it for me.

He beat Burns and then an overmatched Gamboa.

He's unified against good but not great fighters...yet he's seen as a superstar.

We all know in our hearts he won't fight Spence. He probably will fight Porter and possibly Thurman...

But I have not looked forward to a single one of his fights ever...and I'm someone who spends a high proportion of his time (way too much) contemplating and anticipating fights that are on the horizon.

My guess is he'll fight Horn and Pac in 2018...

If he's posting it on his own social media for everyone to see then it seems as though he doesn't have a problem with his weight.

Surprised at the negativity surrounding his opponents, he's done pretty much all that could have been expected of him at 135 and 140 given the fighters that were out there at the time. Now he's going up to 147 and when you listen to interviews with him, he seems genuine about wanting to fight the best. So does Spence although he seems to want Thurman first. Thurman is a different story, he's turned into a bitch since beating Garcia it seems.

ya these days walking around at 177 means a welterweight or lower. the fans who imagine themselves as mws cause they walk around at 160ish would prob actually be lightweights or lower if they got ripped and then drained.

guys who are still legit cruisers and lhws and maybe even smws after draining are legit big ppl the average person would prob take note of in everday life.

craw has really done almost all he could with what was on offer (easily better wins than ggg imo), but imo its true there were really no standout names for him to fight.

id consider spence, thurman, garcia, maybe even pirter p4p better than anyone hes fought, plus there bigger.gamboa was maybe the best p4p of his opponents at the time but was greatly undersized, at least as much as rigo vs loma imo.

but craws really won almost as convingly as possible and seems to have the tooks to keep doing well vs better opposition.no clear weakness like being slow or blocking with his face, as ggg showed even vs weaker opposition.

only gamboa seemed to have notable succes vs him. burns won a few rounds but thats down to craw taking them off imo whereas i thought gamboa outspeeded him in the first 3 (could easily score it 30-27 yg) plus shook him a bit as craw got sloppy going for the finish later on.

Crawford/Garcia wouldn't do it for you? Do you even like boxing? That fight would be awesome

Also, literally one of the only undisputed champions of the last 15 years. Held every beat, therefore beat everyone.

Crawford-Garcia? Not really...

Crawford has proved himself one of the top talents in the sport.

Garcia never looked close to toppling Thurman. Struggled with Herrera and...I thought...lost to Peterson. He's not in Crawford's league.

Spence-Peterson is a similar fight.

147 is full of great match-ups... Just get on with them,
