Kid Galahad

Post by Taansend »

How good is he, in your opinion? Hopefully he gets to step up next year so we can see what he's made of.

A fight against Kiko Martinez would be a decent yardstick.

We have a good batch of Feathers in the UK at the moment. In addition to the four already at World class there's also Bellotti & possibly Lowe coming through. Would be nice to see a few of them against each other.

I'd be interested in seeing Galahad/Quigg in 2018. Galahad is a good boxer. Tidy, strong but lacks punch power. He's had things his own way mostly so far. Would be interesting to see how he deals with Quiggs style and pressure.

They're not putting Quigg in with anyone like Galahad. He's got a 126 bauble to win in 2018.

Good fight but Quigg and Hearn will go down an easier route...

Kid's taking the IBF route. Quigg isn't., and I don't think Kid's at that level. He looked good (I've only seen 2 of his last 3 fights) against pretty mundane guys, but needs an incremental step up before the level of Quigg in my opinion. I say that because he does not have the power to get out of deep water and needs to out box whoever he faces..
It's a true sign of depth when he is ranked #5(?) In the UK.

The fella's career has been completely treading water. He needs some proper management and promotion

Pretty much sums up his stalling career ,

Seems like he hasn't been advised or managed very well .

The drug test has never sat right with me, failed tests are always a black mark on a career but if fighters blame it on a genuine mistake over something bought over a counter they seem to be forgiven, Whyte's career has done fine, he's not exactly liked but his failed test is never the reason, more his attitude, Maccarineli is still held in high regard

Galahad's whole spiked from the brother spiel is clearly flannel, which in my book is as good as admitting cheating, he's a great fighter though no doubt but if he's been cheating.....

Innit. And if Frampton gets by Donaire he'll meet the winner of Selby Warrington :box:

And Bellotti should be knocking on the door by 2019.

He’s been on few ITV undercards - both Hearn/FW seem to be distancing themselves.

He’s good mates with BJS so he might talk Frank into getting him on shows - Brook tried that as well.

Issue is mud sticks - and his drugs conviction has tarnished his reputation.

Mate, he was going nowhere quick before the drug issue under Meaty Mick.

Shades of junior witter, except in the end junior built himself by winning British, commonwealth and European titles before getting the WBC title. Barry needs to starting getting competitive at domestic level and forget these big fantasy fights against the likes of frampton.

He struggled with Jazza Dickens over four years ago for the British title.

All his he has done since is fail a drug test, moan about his brother and have a few tick overs against nobodies.

He is a drug cheat and easily the most over rated fighter on this forum.

Quigg is no.2 with the IBF and Galahad is no.5. They should fight for the mandatory.
