Adam we have been good friends for a while now but sometimes i dont reeli understand how your head works. how can u rank gatti vs ward over ali vs frazier thrilla in manila to me is a historic moment of two rivals and a brutal contest of stamina, etc etc.. in boxing a moment to be remembered forever.

yer very tru i loved all those three fights but i cant include all in a ten list if i was to change it it would replace carbajal vs gonzalez but good call silkov forgot about that classic

gatti ward and ali norton are considered as one of the top ten trilogies for a lot of people ive even seen Dan Rafael and Teri Berg to name a few
rate it as one of his favourite and u r really annoying me ever since ive come on this forum decagon!!!
list ur top ten trilogies n lets see how urs is could be good could be bad??? if u think ur soo smart
I think Patterson Johanson has all of the qualities that make up a great trilogy. Multiple knockdowns, seesaw battles, all of the fights resulted in a knockout, they split the first two thus setting up the need for a rubber match.
If Dan Rafael ranks Ali-Norton as one of the ten greatest trilogies of all time, he's a fornicating moron. Gatti-Ward I could see as #8 or #10, but #1?!?!? Anyone who does that probably hasn't watched any boxing before 1995 or so.
I agree Dec; the Ali-Norton trilogy was boring. I own the compilation tape of the three fights and havent bothered to watch it in some time.

How can people possibly not have Gatti - Ward in their top 5?
To me that is the 2nd greatest trilogy. They may not have been champions, or even great fighters, but they gave it there all in every fight. It was breathtaking stuff.
Ali - Frazier would be my top trilogy due to Thrilla in Manilla. They almost fought to their death in that fight

i hate to agree with you there but i do i see people ranking gatti-ward as number 1 and i compltely disagree it has now gone somewhere between number 7 or 8 in my list And after looking at Ali Norton 1 2 3 again ii replace it with Duran Vs DeJesus
