He's always been injury prone even as an amateur, I think he overtrains too.TheLeprechaun wrote: ↑27 Dec 2017, 05:53 I wonder why hayes body is breaking down.

Re: Tony Bellew vs. David Haye II - 5 May 2018
Haye probably overtrains or doesn't get it quite right in training somehow, he's always been liable to an injury or two... Think he also focuses on looking good too much aswell rather than being fighting fit
Re: Tony Bellew vs. David Haye II - 5 May 2018
Haye also bulks up and trains at an artificially heavier weight. This has to put additional stress on his body added to his unbelievable explosiveness and power. David Haye isn't your average Joe. I think he overtrains.

Yeah I’ve often suspected Haye’s training regime is just as focused on aesthetics as it is on getting in peak fighting condition.

Outside of here it seems a lot of people see it as a case of Bellew breaking him down and making him quit, which is probably the least accurate description I’ve ever seen of a sporting contest! Mind you, Bellew himself seems to believe it!jamamb wrote: ↑27 Dec 2017, 05:50 haye as bad as he was was cleary several rounds up and taking even more control. ppl should rewatch the round or so b4 the leg goes. bellews looking gassed and increasingly gunshy.this wasnt a bellew wearing him down job, it was a snap your fucked result.
but we all know haye has the edge if healthy, but thats such a huge doubt these days. who can really be surprised if hes injured and loses again.
btw id still give bellew and a reasonably healthy haye a good chance vs joe 'majority decision' parker.
I watched a repeat on sky again the other day whilst drunk, and Haye was comfortably ahead up until his leg went completely. From the off he looked terrible, dragging the foot, overly wide stance too.
If Haye is at 50% fit he stands a good chance of winning the rematch. The only reason Bellew won is because Haye was barely 25% fit come the end, he could barely walk!
Still, these days a 50% fit Haye is wishful thinking I reckon!
Good luck to them, they’ll both earn big money again which is the name of the game, and the name of this particularly game definitely! Once it’s over with, both to retire please. No more PPV silliness for either. Bellew should rename his first born Eddie Hearn. What he’s done with Bellew is the best job I’ve ever seen a promoter do in the history of the sport

Re: Tony Bellew vs. David Haye II - 5 May 2018
It was all Bellew who started saying that. It was his 'story' of how he 'beat' Haye. Seeing as Haye suffered an injury, to take away from that, Bellew, in his own head, has made this to be a 'fact' of how he 'broke' Haye down.lillywhite14 wrote: ↑27 Dec 2017, 10:33 Outside of here it seems a lot of people see it as a case of Bellew breaking him down and making him quit, which is probably the least accurate description I’ve ever seen of a sporting contest! Gents,
The first fight was shocking ....
Both fighters if they were honest were no where near their best. Haye was truly awful,
The only thing that made the fight remotely exciting was the fact it was “personal” for so many people I know, and regardless of how awful the fight was, the outcome pleased a lot of people.

i'm a bit surprised there's any interest in a rematch as spud said the first fight was terrible ,i thought haye looked terrible before the injury and bellew seemed shocked that he was able to compete with haye .i'm not to bothered about the fight myself .
