This fight has gone a bit quiet.

Every other semi final has been announced for a few weeks now.

Braehmer was brilliant in his last fight. I didn't think he still had that in him. Maybe it was the last juice in the tank, or maybe he is having a Linares like resurgance?
I still back Callum to win, but if Braehmer has another surge like last time, I don't know. The money for this fight lies in the UK or Germany, it has to be one or the other.
His jab in that fight was excellent. Not sure how overrated Brant was but he looked out his depth at times.

If that Braehmer turns up at this stage of his career it say it's 50/50 but would still slightly favour Smith.

Totally unfair. The only fair arrangement would be to have the fight in Liverpool Echo Arena with Mickey Vann as the referee and Liam, Stephen & Paul Smith as the judges.

Also Braehmer should not be allowed to box southpaw.

Then it will be fair.

Callum's biggest concern in this fight shouldn't be the location, but Gallagher himself.

As much as I think Joe is a good trainer, his usual tactic in big fights seems to be:

Sit back, draw the opponent in, willingly cede the early rounds to your opponent so you can put it on him down the stretch.

But that probably won't work against Breahmer, as he would like nothing more than to win a long range snooze fest behind his awkward southpaw jab and shifting angles.

Callum's best bet is to put it on Breahmer from the start so that, by the halfway stage, the pace he has set coupled with the weight behind his punches cause Breahmer to slow to the point that the younger man can stop him.

This fight should not be in Liverpool as Smith don't sell tickets and promoters don't want to lose money. It was embarrasing how any people were at his last fight in Liverpool

Problem is that he is the worst interview in boxing.

Id rather watch a spider standing in the corner of a wall for 2 minutes than listen to 2 minute callum interview. He will never sell a ticket

The plan for Fielding was what you describe. Unbeaten at the time, there was no set way to do it. That was a great win, and if Callum comes out after the first bell like he did then, it could be all over in 2-3 rounds.

I'll love it if Callum pulls out.

I can see it happening.

I think Callum would be able to beat Braehmer regardless of where the fight took place.

Indeed, but Callum took a few shots from Fielding. Not sure Joe will allow his man to take that risk against a much smarter and more accurate fighter.
