He's had two challenges in a row that were more of less 50/50..

He beats Vargas, who he might fight next.

Porter rematch should prove a good challenge.

Spence, Crawford should also prove tough challenges. There really aren't any other names.

Thurman v Crawford

Terence has been looking for a challenge and to establish himself in the division.

Thurman lives a couple of miles from me and I've challenged him to a curry eating contest.

So far he hasn't replied but I know I can outspice him :OhYes:

Spence and Crawford both beat him and I think he knows it.

Although I don't look at it as a huge challenge, I am hoping the fight with Jesse Vargas goes through, and he actually gives Thurman a good fight. JV looks improved with whoever took over training him.

Certainly the two stand-outs but I'm not as sure as you are that both would beat him. It's going to be interesting to see what happens in the coming year.

Kell Brook should meet Spence, Thurman, Horn, Porter and a few others in the light-middleweight division in a couple of years hopefully.

Brook will probably be done by then. He already beat Porter and doubt if he wants more of Spence. He will do well to prolong his career by staying away from big punchers.

Spence would not only give Thurman a challenge but a defeat as well

But Thurman will probably flee to 154 before it can be arranged.

Brook would also give Thurman all he could handle...if his optical bones hold up.

Vargas for sure. He might even knock him out.
Porter is a challenge for anyone, he never fails to bring it. I would expect Thurman to beat him again unless Sean brings something new.
Spence needs to get a few decent fights first. He performed well against Brook, but has been inactive since. I know he has one coming up next year, he just strikes me as a guy who needs to stay busy to be at his best
Crawford Thurman is the one I want to see. No rumours on that one. Not sure it will get made.

Basically what everybody else said. Porter and Garcia could give him a decent go in a rematch. Crawford and Spence could potentially beat him. If Brook were 100%, he might be able to beat Thurman.

I should also add that Jeff Horn robbed Pacquiao, and we'd be perceiving Pacquiao somewhat differently if he were awarded an honest decision. In either case, Pacquiao could probably give Thurman a hard time.
