I'm still hopeful that we might see Joshua v Wilder in 2018 despite it looking like Higgins insisting on rematch clause if Joshua wins and not just if he loses to Parker.

Firstly im not a huge fan of Eubank jr, however I believe he will beat Groves come February. I also think it will be a defining year for him and I hope a match up between Gennady Golovkin can be made. I know its quite unlikely but as ive watched Eubank Sr closely in the past I know how those effers work. If they can see a weakness they will exploit it to the max. If Gennady Golovkin is getting past his best and the Eubanks know this and make a mega match for an effing huge amount of dosh especially in the UK who knows what could happen. Im dreaming I know.

Also, the scheduled Eubank - Groves fight is pretty sweet.

I’m really looking forward to the Groves - Eubank semi-final in Manchester. Will be rooting for Groves and I think he will get the job done, but I’m worried that this could be breakout fight for Jnr.

I’m also interested to see where Josh Taylor goes next. The next eighteen months or so are going to be massive for him.

2018 promises to be another action packed boxing year. There's Kovalev, Wilder, Joshua, Eubank v Groves, Canelo v GGG, Lomachenko etc.

Interesting also to see what will become of Chocolatito, Spike O Sullivan, Brook, Khan, Jacobs, BJS. We're certain to have enough action and drama to last 12 months.

Then there's the question mark hanging over David Haye, will he get in the ring with Bellew again? Will Tyson Fury ever shut up and actually have another fight? Have we seen the last of Mayweather? Will the cheating ever stop? Will Max Kellerman regain his senses. Endless questions, all will be revealed.

Sorry to be a downer here but there’s no way that 2018 comes close to 2017 in terms of great fights. There’s literally NOTHING on the schedule right now resembling the best fighting the best. I thought that maybe Boxing learned what could be by the excellent matchmaking in 2017 but they haven’t learned anything.

I hope that guys like Thurman, Spence, Crawford, Garcia and Lomachenko among others take some risky fights, real risky defining bouts not industry hyped jobs that just pass the time.
If you want to be a big player do it through the ultimate avenue and take that bout which is a clear 50/50 or one in which you're expected to be the underdog.

3. the 2 balls to the wall tough Ukraine Fighters now fighting outta Pittsburgh. Really loved what I seen with these 2 killers along with that slick Pittsburgh middleweight Sherrell. This kid Eberhardt is a real banger too. Best 4 Fighters I seen coming out of Pgh since Vasquez and Spaddy

4. Trump. he’s done wonders for America but the media bashes.

5. a trip to Sun City FL to see my brother Mel. Haven’t see him in 18yrs. Haven’t been to Florida in 40 years. Sunshine here I come
