As far as proven at the top it has to be AJ, how anyone can judge Wilder is beyond me, he hasn't done anything yet to prove he belongs in the top 10. Sure he "might" be good enough, but that's speculation.

I think you're right... He's bigger and stronger and a better boxer and puncher...

They both have tremendous punching power, but there are more facets to punching than just power... Joshua throws better timed counters and more of them... Wilder lost the first 4 rounds to Washington, looking for the perfect counter for his right hand... Joshua throws smoother jabs and sticks them in your body as well as tagging your head...

AJ's combinations have more precision and he blends in double left hooks, uppercuts, and body shots... He never windmills his combos leaving himself open -- and he doesn't throw a wild mishmash of punches like an amateur... Wilder hasn't fought a Heavyweight who can take advantage of his weaknesses yet.

Joshua is clearly a stronger and better skilled boxer. He would win by KO.

Wilder has been very carefully matched, he's avoided several prime-aged decent heavyweights.

While Joshua has faced Takam, Whyte, and Breazeale, and will now fight another prime heavyweight in Parker, Wilder's management has chosen weaker, chinny opponents like Szpilka, and older men like Washington and inactive Stiverne.

Boy, this is a tough one for me, but I'll go out on a limb and pick Wilder by KO.

It's always best to go with the more athletic, multi-dimensional guy in a fight.

I believe that would be Wilder.

And it's certainly not comforting to know that Joshua has that chinny reputation, going back to his amateur days.

That's a pretty big chink in the armor when you're squaring off against a speedy, monster puncher like Wilder.

Its a 50/50 fight but I'm leaning towards Wilder. For one thing, it's been made clear that he's the one who really wants this fight to go through. Joshua hasn't shown as much of an inclination or at least not that I've seen. For another, Anthony was very nearly taken out by a 41 year old Klit who was off for 17 months and had already been exposed by Fury. If Wilder gets Joshua on the canvas I don't think he's letting him off the hook.

If your career defining fight is going life and death with a 41yr old that looked like crap his last fight, then was off for a year and a half, it isn't saying much. It was a great fight, but far from career defining. Fury's win could be considered a better win, and both guys looked horrible.

Wilder hasn't had even close to that good of a win, but still favor him to win if it goes late.

Multi-dimensional doesn't describe Wilder.... He dropped 4 straight rounds to rook Washington... Bryant Jennings easily went 12 with Klitschko and tried to talk a little trash to Ortiz...but Jennings looked scared... Ortiz smirked at him like, "Who do you think you're kidding?" .... Jennings got murdered every second he was in there.. Ortiz may be old, but he has game... I'll be amazed if the fight comes off -- it's not Wilder's style to take risky fights.

But it was for the IBF IBO WBA world heavyweight titles, in front of a record breaking post-war crowd of 90,000 people . It broke the record for PPV sales in the UK (more than Floyd Manny did in the UK). I think it was either the first fight, or one of very few, to have the rights purchased by both HBO and Showtime in the US , and shown on the two channels independently.

You have to give Fury more credit for his win. It was in Wlads back yard when Wlad was on his crazy undefeated run. I do however think the version of Wlad that faced AJ was a better Wlad than fought Fury - altho that could be down to the way the fights planned out.
All that to one side id say AJ beating Wlad was a career defining moment for AJ. I’m sure there will be more of them to come, but people will always remember that fight and that win.

So... Wilder didn't look horrible getting hit with big roundhouse right swings by inept Johann Duhaupas??? Kind of bunged his left eye up there quite a bit... AJ pulls the trigger on his right a lot faster, smoother, harder, and more accurately and sets it upo with a jab that's 3 X as slick... Wilder has fought nobodies... He's never fought a top pro.

with more and more challenges
along the way. haven't heard anyone
