I think Joshua stops Parker mid-to-late rounds.
I don’t think Parker is anything special nor do I think he has the power to hurt AJ.

Because Parker has never been down in sparring or fight ever ?CasualQuaker wrote: ↑30 Dec 2017, 09:11 I think Joshua stops Parker mid-to-late rounds.

Or because Joshua been down many times ?
Or Parker’s 75% KO ratio too low?

Does what happens in sparring matter too much?
Parker has went the distance in his last three fights, two of which were extremely close.
He hasn’t shown the power at elite level.

parker was hurt by a brazilian journeyman and couldnt hurt hughie and fat andy. both those fights couldve easily gone against him too. the power showings totally evaporated once he moved to top 25 opponents.
joshua has stopped everyone and only been down against the very hard hitting wlad, whose slightly harder hitting than luis nasimento
you can question the last stoppage for sure but he still dropped takam whereas parker didnt come close.

If Parker didn't have a belt this would be seen as another mismatch.

I don't really understand what this means but you seem to be suggesting Parker taking on Ruiz (and remember - Parker wasn't actually defending a title in that fight) was a bigger risk than Joshua taking on Klitschko?

Champs not involved in this fight, so out of Parker and AJ.

I still don't know what you mean. To clarify my point, Parker is rank average and could easily have lost to fat Andy and feather fisted Hughie. Joshua will simply destroy him, probably without losing a single round.asdfjkl wrote: ↑02 Jan 2018, 08:08Champs not involved in this fight, so out of Parker and AJ.

I am not sure how you can say Joshua will win every round against parker.
IMO apart from Wlad Parker is better than everybody else AJ has fought including Whyte who wobbled him.
I do expect Joshua to win though and probably by premature stoppage same as his last fight.
Also lets not forget when Wlad tagged him he couldnt finish him off with his old legs, Parker isnt an old man so he is in with a chance.

There was no risk with Ruiez, it was a fight for a vacant belt and Ruiez wasn't even in the top #5 ranked. I think he was #6 and Parker was #1 and no one knows how Parker got the #1 contender rank either.

Well, I'd like to see a Andy Ruiz vs Deontay Wilder match, I think Andy got a very very fair chance of winning.

You do realise how short Ruiez is don't you?asdfjkl wrote: ↑02 Jan 2018, 16:09Well, I'd like to see a Andy Ruiz vs Deontay Wilder match, I think Andy got a very very fair chance of winning.
Wilder is 6'7" with 83" reach
Ruiz is 6'2" with 74" reach.
And I think they exaggerated Andy's height by an inch, going by seeing him side by side with Parker.

the alphabet baubles mean nothing
now that Klit has gone following the loss to Joshua it just mean in 2018 no supposed champion will ever defend against a bona fide number 1 contender.
however a fight between Joshua and Parker would be great
as would a fight between Wilder and Povetkin

andy ruiz is probably actually about 6 feet at best. joe parker is more like 6'2 and a bit rather than 6'4. height inflation is rampant in sports. even guys who are already really tall do it.

Wilder was also scared for Povetkin, Stiverne isn't that tall either, not even sure about the others.KiwiRider wrote: ↑02 Jan 2018, 17:04You do realise how short Ruiez is don't you?

Getting decked by Klitschko or struggling against Hughie Fury. Exactly the same thingGrailer wrote: ↑31 Dec 2017, 15:36Because Parker has never been down in sparring or fight ever ?CasualQuaker wrote: ↑30 Dec 2017, 09:11 I think Joshua stops Parker mid-to-late rounds.

You consider Takam & Ruiz bigger risks than any other fight in boxing history

Joshua looked terrible against Takam who only had 2 weeks training for Joshua.
Parker should beat robotic Joshua easily .

Re: Anthony Joshua (WBA, IBF, IBO) vs. Joseph Parker (WBO) - TBA
It is well known that takam had a full camp to prepare for Joshua. They paid him to be on standby and be ready.
Joshua will be beat the plodder parker with ease. If hughie can take him close then AJ will ruin him
Re: Anthony Joshua (WBA, IBF, IBO) vs. Joseph Parker (WBO) - TBA
aj lost maybe 1 round vs takam and hurt him a few times and dropped him. how da eff r u going to use that as evidence for a parker win when joe lost like 5 rounds and couldnt budge the same guy
